A viral video capturing a man knocking a virtual reality headset off another man's head at a Target has sparked a debate on social media.

The video was posted by Dawson, whose Youtube and TikTok pages (@dawszn.npc) primarily feature videos of himself harassing people in public places while wearing a VR headset.

While most of the people Dawson encounters in his videos react with confusion or anger, things took a potentially dangerous turn when Dawson visited a local Target.

At the beginning of the video, Dawson could be seen standing directly in the middle of an aisle at Target.

A man pushing a shopping cart with a child sitting in it then passed by Dawson, and warned him "you might want to get out of the way there chief."

Dawson didn't take much heed of the man's suggestion though, and simply responded "you're in my play space."

Clearly agitated by Dawson's remark, the man then approached him, telling him to "get the f*ck out of here" before he reached up and knocked the headset off Dawson's head.

This caused the video to briefly fade to black.

Target employees could then be heard making attempts to calm both Dawson and the unnamed man down, warning Dawson he probably shouldn't have been using the VR headset inside the store as the man walked away.

Once more, Dawson claimed the man "was in his play space," but the excuse didn't cut it for one of the Target employees even when she didn't defend the behavior of the other man.

"You can't really do that in the store, you're not supposed to be doing that."
"Now he was wrong, but you also were wrong."

At the end of the video, Dawson revealed he was just about to begin recording on his headset when the man smacked it off of his head.

The video received a mixed reaction from its 1.4 million viewers.

Some took Dawson's side.

While a few agreed with the Target employee, believing Dawson shouldn't have been wearing the headset to harass customers in the store, but also finding the man's behavior inexcusable.

Dawson confirmed at the end of the video the VR headset was not damaged after the man knocked it off his head.

This means we'll likely get plenty of more videos of Dawson wearing it in various stores and public places.

Whether he'll be a bit more mindful of who he interacts with, however, remains to be seen.

GOP Commentator Ripped After Claiming Trump Is 'Standing Up' For 'Jewish Kids' With Harvard Funding Freeze

GOP strategist and CNN commentator Scott Jennings was criticized for hypocrisy by fellow panelist Jay Michaelson after claiming that President Donald Trump is "standing up" for Jewish students and combating antisemitism in ordering a funding freeze for Harvard University.

Since returning to office, Trump has made reshaping higher education a priority, threatening to pull federal research funding unless universities fall in line. His administration’s new rules—set to take effect by August 2025—target everything from DEI programs to international student admissions, while demanding “viewpoint” diversity and threatening to shut down noncompliant departments.
