Liberty University Asked Students Which Classes They're Looking Forward To, And Twitter Trolled Them Hard

Following the revelation that both Jerry Falwell Jr., an evangelical leader and fervent Trump supporter, and his wife, Becki Falwell, had a years-long sexual relationship with their former "pool boy" Giancarlo Granda, Falwell stepped down from his post as Liberty University president.

With schools cautiously edging back to in-person classes in the wake of the pandemic, Liberty University posted a now-deleted tweet asking students what they were most excited to come back to school for.


Twitter took no prisoners.





Earlier today, Falwell officially resigned as the President of Liberty University, after saying he was only taking a leave of absence.





"I wasn't expecting him [Falwell Jr.] to be a spiritual leader, but I was expecting him to be a spiritual example," said Eli Best, a junior at Liberty University, to the New York Times.

"The president of a university not abiding by his own standards, in terms of bars and alcohol and sexuality — all those stories, that tipped me off. It was like a flashing sign in our





Liberty University deleted the tweet after the Twitter-verse roasted them and has been making periodic updates since.
