On Sunday night, MAGA Republican President Donald Trump posted a stream of consciousness rant about repeat dinner guest, comedian, and host of HBO's Real Time Bill Maher and it's a lot.
Literally.
Trump's Sunday night missive broke the previous record for his longest unhinged Truth Social post at a whopping 1,322 words. What did the POTUS say in over a thousand words? Not much beyond bragging about himself and denigrating "COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER" Maher's existence.
In other words, the usual stuff.
You can see Trump's full rant here:

With the usual abuse of capitalization, Trump babbled about The Apprentice, how not "HOT" HBO is, and his popularity among people still willing to call themselves Republican in a series of aimless run-on sentences.
Trump just kept going...

...and going...

and going.

What set Trump off?
Maher had former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on his show and asked her about Trump's "lame duck" presidency—a common term for Presidents during their final term—and whether the current POTUS could handle a defeat for Republicans in the midterms.
Maher said:
"I worry that if this election goes as badly as it looks like it’s going to go for him and the Republicans, we’re going to have a guy who doesn’t have as much power as he did… and we know he likes vengeance."
Leavitt responded with the usual tap dancing around the truth that she did in her White House role between bouts of praising Trump's greatness.
People found Trump's post about Maher TLDR—a common internet acronym meaning "too long; didn't read," but someone assigned it a new meaning:
"Trump's Long Demented Rant"

People surmised what a long message from a sitting POTUS must (should) be about.

More than a few questioned Trump's competence and mental state.

Those who actually did slog their way through had some feedback for Trump...

...and Maher.

The midterms are set for Tuesday, November 3, with most states already engaged in early voting. At stake is control of Congress and the fate of the Trump administration.
Will the legislative branch once again function as intended, offering checks and balances on a rogue executive and sycophantic judicial branch? Or will it be two more years of Congress rubber-stamping Trump's appointees and his every whim?
Only voters can decide.
