Rep. Boebert Gets Brutal Reminder After Accusing Biden of Taking 'Orders From the Taliban'

Far-right Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado joined the chorus of conservative voices lambasting President Joe Biden for his administration's widely-panned withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.

Earlier this month, the militant fundamentalist Taliban overtook the presidential palace in Kabul, the culmination of an advance that resulted in the regime retaking the region in only 11 days—a timeline no one foresaw.

As the Biden administration scrambles to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies, they've negotiated with the Taliban to allow for safe travel to the Kabul International Airport until at least August 31. The Taliban have said they're not considering an extension of that deadline, while Biden insists that, though the ambitious August 31 deadline is still being observed, an extension isn't being ruled out.

On Twitter, Boebert slammed Biden for supposedly taking orders from the Taliban.

In reality, it was former President Donald Trump's administration that first opened official communication with the Taliban, who sheltered al Qaeda after the September 11 attacks. As President, Trump released around five thousand Taliban prisoners and invited leaders of the regime to Camp David on the week of 9/11's anniversary.

For her part, Boebert has openly mocked the Afghan refugee's attempting to flee Taliban rule and voted against expedited visas for allies in the region.

People reminded her who legitimized the Taliban in the first place, including pictures of Trump's Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, meeting with a Taliban leader.

In fact, that's one reason they voted him out.

Boebert remains a steadfast supporter of Trump.
