The singer's dad, Jeremy Bieber, reminded LGBTQ+ people to 'thank a straight person this month for your existence.'

Justin Bieber's estranged father just bashed Pride month with a homophobic message for the LGBTQ+ community.

Jeremy Bieber tweeted:

"Don't forget to thank a straight person this month for your existence."

In 1994, Jeremy was 18 when his then-girlfriend Pattie Mallette–who was 17 at the time–gave birth to Justin.

The couple never married and they split after Justin was born. Justin was raised by Mallette's mother and stepfather.

The singer remains in contact with his father, Jeremy.

In another tweet at the beginning of the month, Jeremy Bieber doubled down on his take on family values with the following message:

"We need to celebrate families. U know the reason we’re all here!"
"The things this generation glorifies is unbelievable!"

Many social media users thought this was rich given Jeremy's unreliable history as a family man.

They also commented on his opportunism, coming back into his successful son's life when it was convenient for him.

Users continued reminding him that he got it all wrong about expressing gratitude to straight people.

Bieber has been candid about his turbulent relationship with his dad.

In a November 2015 Billboard interview, the "Peaches" singer said that his father was “not in a place where he could raise a kid."

"He was immature. He left for like a year when I was about 4, went to British Columbia, came back on Father’s Day."
"I remember my mom said, ‘If you’re going to be here, you have to be here.’"
"There’s a misconception that he’s this deadbeat dad, but he has been in my life since. I was with him on weekends and Wednesdays.”

In a 2017 Instagram post, Justin commented on his evolving relationship with his father in an emotional tribute to him.

He wrote:

"I️ love continuing to get to know my father."
"I️ love working through hard things to get to the good things... relationships are worth fighting for especially with family!!"
"Love you forever and always daddy!"

Jeremy Bieber may have the love and respect of his son, but he failed to understand the true meaning of Pride.

Pride is the celebration of LGBTQ+ people for their continued fight for equality and acceptance.

It also commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City where a series of liberation protests occurred in the month of June.

Trump Dragged After Making Ridiculous Claim About Randomly Finding Billions On The 'Tariff Shelf'

President Donald Trump was criticized after he claimed to reporters this week that officials in his administration suddenly found $30 billion they "never knew existed"—located on what Trump referred to as the "tariff shelf."

Tariffs are a tax on imported goods, usually calculated as a percentage of the purchase price. While tariffs can shield domestic manufacturers by making foreign products more expensive, they are also used as a tool to penalize countries engaged in unfair trade practices, such as government subsidies or dumping goods below market value.

Bride's Friends Surprise Her With Montage Video Of All Her Exes At Bachelorette Party—And People Are Mortified

While Jenny Han's novel To All the Boys I've Loved Before was a major hit, and even became a great film success in 2018, not everyone's married to the idea of reconnecting with their exes after the relationships end.

It might be nice to imagine staying friends after the relationships, imagining our exes missing us or regretting losing us, or even giving us an apology for the things they did wrong. But most of us pine for this for a little while, realize it's all a fairy tale, and push past it to better things and new love.
