Samuel L. Jackson is one of those actors that people just love to impersonate. He's had so many memorable roles with countless quotable lines, and his personality is nothing short of fascinating.

But people who attempt to impersonate him always get some aspect of the impression wrong, whether it's the volume, the enunciation, the intonation, or just the overall demeanor. Even Jamie Foxx, who's an impressive impersonator of a wide range of stars, has not impressed Jackson with his impersonation of him.

But entertainment reporter Simone Boyce had to learn that the hard way, and Jackson himself was not shy about breaking the news to her.

While on the red carpet for the premiere of Jackson's political thriller The Beast, Boyce had a moment with Jackson during which she asked him if he felt anyone had nailed down a solid impression of him.

Jackson was quite frank, saying:

"Not really. Jamie Foxx thinks he does, but no."

To that, Boyce confidently said:

"I think I could do one, maybe."

Jackson was immediately skeptical, asking:

"You think you can?"
"Why? Why do you think that?"

When Boyce said she'd been practicing, Jackson invited her to try:

"Okay, go! Get it! Get it!"

To that, Boyce lowered her voice and said:

"I've had it with these mother-effing snakes on this mother-effing plane!"

Jackson looked perplexed before shaking his head and saying:

"I thought you were going to do an impression of me."
"You were doing an impression of a bad actor trying to do a bad impression of me."
"That was great if that's what you were doing!"

Boyce looked defeated as Jackson went on:

"If you were really trying to do an impression of me, that was f**king horrible."

The moment quickly went viral on X, which you can see here:

X users could not stop laughing over how Jackson mercilessly roasted Boyce.

The moment also went viral on Instagram, where the Hollywood Reel Time account cautioned:

"Note to Simone Boyce: NEVER do a Samuel L. Jackson impression in front of Samuel L. Jackson!"

Even Boyce chimed in:

Fellow Instagrammers were tickled over the interaction, wondering why Boyce would set herself up for such a brutal roast.

This is one of those situations where you might not know how hilariously bad you are at something until someone else sees you do it. But maybe that person shouldn't be ... Samuel L. Jackson?
