Social media lit up yesterday with the news of an alleged affair between television personality and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and Instagram model Sumner Stroh.

The furor erupted when Stroh posted a TikTok in which she made her allegations, including screenshots of conversations with Levine in social media DMs.

The allegations of infidelity are salacious enough, but then Stroh shared an even juicier screenshot—one in which Levine asked Sumner if she'd be okay with him naming his new baby after her.

As you can imagine, social media immediately erupted over the news.

Levine has been married to model Behati Prinsloo since 2014. The couple have two children and a third on the way.

Sumner says she and Levine dated each other for "about a year," during which she says she felt "exploited" and "manipulated" by Levine because she was new to the entertainment industry scene.

Screenshots she included showed conversations between her and Levine about how "hot" Levine thinks they both are, and other flirtatious comments.

Sumner next revealed how after months of not talking, Levine reached out to her on Instagram with a shocking request.

It read:

“Ok serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s [a] boy I really wanna name it Sumner. You ok with that? DEAD serious.”

Stroh was not "ok with that"—she told her followers:

“I was like… ‘I’m in Hell. Like, I have to be in Hell at this point [laughs].'”

Stroh also said she chose to go public because friends tried to sell her story to the press.

“I had sent some screenshots recklessly to a few friends I thought I trusted, and one of them had attempted to sell to a tabloid. So, here I am.”

Earlier today, Levine responded to the allegations on his Instagram Story.

He admitted to having "crossed the line" but denied having had an affair with Stroh.

His Story read in part:

“...I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life...”
“...I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”
“My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make."
"I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together.”

Levine's response has done little to tamp down the social media uproar, however.

Stroh also posted a follow-up video in which she apologized for her role in the affair.

She specified she was under the impression Levine's marriage was over at the time she became involved with him.

AOC Has Mic Drop Response To MAGA Republicans Who Try To Mock 'Democratic Priorities'

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez issued a powerful rebuke against President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, pointing out why mocking things like affordable housing and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as "Democrat priorities" ultimately hurts Republicans.

Ocasio-Cortez, speaking during a CNN town hall alongside Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders, accused Republicans of refusing to work to end the government shutdown, stressing that the country’s health care system could collapse if Republicans refuse to meet Democrats’ demands in negotiations.

GOP Rep. Blames Coordinated 'Ruse' After Swastika Image Is Seen Displayed In His Office

Ohio Republican Representative Dave Taylor demanded an investigation after a swastika image was found on display in his Washington, D.C., office, and blamed it on a "targeted" "ruse."

Politico obtained a photo from a virtual meeting showing a distorted image of the American flag—its red and white lines altered into the shape of a swastika— pinned to what appears to be a cubicle wall behind Angelo Elia, a staffer for Taylor. Beside it hung a pocket Constitution and a congressional calendar. Elia’s involvement in the incident, if any, remains unclear.
