Resurfaced Clip Of Bob Barker's Reaction To Boneheaded 'Price Is Right' Contestant Is Just Too Good

The game show host couldn't help but lose his cool during what should have been a relatively straight-forward game.

A vintage clip of Bob Barker getting impatient with a clueless contestant while he was hosting The Price Is Right has resurfaced and is trending online.

Rest assured, the affable game show host is going viral on social media not because he is no longer with us.

His longtime companion of 40 years Nancy Burnet told the public last year Barker was in "very good health for his age" before he turned 99 in December.

Burnet added:

"He takes one prescription medication and that's for his thyroid."

Barker, who hosted The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007, is making the rounds online because of his relatable and funny response to a contestant on the show from a 2006 episode.

The contestant—whose name was Joy—was completely buckling under pressure and not understanding the rules of the task at hand.

Joy was playing a round of “Ten Chances," where players have ten guesses to correctly guesstimate the price of three prizes. She started out with promise, nabbing a toaster for the first correct guess and luggage for her second.

But then things unraveled as she tried to guess the price of a brand new car.

An excerpt from "Ten Chances" on the wiki page includes a passage describing Joy's participation.

It reads in part:

“On her first chance, she used the ‘1’ twice, and was told not to do that."
"Then she tries again and writes down a weird price of $19,130, leaving the second ‘1’ scribbled out."
"Bob couldn’t understand the price after he told her not to write the ‘1’ twice."
"Joy then scribbles the whole price, to avoid confusion.”

You can watch to find out if the zany attempt was worth it.

As you can see, Barker did his best to champion the panicked player as she constantly looked to the audience for suggestions.

But he could only hold out for so long, repeatedly telling her she couldn't use the number 1 twice.

After all was said and done, Joy triumphed and guessed correctly.

While she was ecstatic about winning a car, Barker appeared to be glad the game was over as the mounting stress from cheering her on and simultaneously reminding her of the rules wore him out.

He took a moment to take a seat and collect himself before telling the audience they'll be right back after a commercial break.

Burnet also said of Barker's health:

"He's in very good health for his age and his humor is still in good shape. He's had a very charmed life."

In 2023, he's still making us laugh.

You can't put a price on that.

Trump Bizarrely Clashes With Reporter Over Photoshopped 'Tattoo' On Abrego Garcia's Knuckles

President Donald Trump sparked criticism after claiming during an interview with ABC News’ Terry Moran that an edited photo depicting tattoos of wrongly-deported Maryland father Kilmar Abrego Garcia showed that he has an alleged connection to the MS-13 gang.

Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who arrived in the U.S. in 2012, was labeled a threat in 2019 due to an alleged connection to MS-13. He spent months in detention before an immigration judge found he had a credible fear of persecution—not from MS-13, but from a rival group, Barrio 18, which he said had been extorting his family.

Leavitt Lashes Out At Amazon Over 'Hostile' Plan To Display Added Tariff Costs For Products On Website

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt lashed out at Amazon over news that the commerce giant planned to display increased "import charges" on items on their Amazon Haul website, essentially showing to customers the extra money they'd have to shell out as a result of President Donald Trump's tariffs.

Trump has escalated a growing trade war by imposing tariffs of up to 145% on Chinese imports, prompting China to retaliate with its own 125% tariffs on American goods. Additionally, the U.S. has slapped a 10% tax on imports from most other countries, while temporarily suspending higher rates for several nations for 90 days.
