Kelly Clarkson Just Performed 'Golden' As Her Final 'Kellyoke'—And She Absolutely Crushed It

After seven years of performances, guest, laughs, and sharing her fans' living rooms, The Kelly Clarkson Show has come to an end.

Back in February, Clarkson made the announcement that the show would come to a close at the end of the Fall 2026 season, so she could focus on her two children, 12-year-old River and 10-year-old Remy, after the death of their father and her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.

As promised, the final show featured a variety of special guests, but Clarkson's favorite part was making the final show entirely fan-requested, including a long-form "Kellyoke" performance with all fan-selected songs.

Some of her most popular songs, including "Piece By Piece," "Since U Been Gone," and "Stronger," were highly requested, but there was one cover song that Clarkson had been saving for a special moment that the team called "the most requested song EVER." And when would be a more special moment than the final episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show during Clarkson's final Kellyoke?

The song was none other than the Oscar-winning hit "Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters.

Clarkson was no stranger to the film, as she previously performed "What It Sounds Like" to high acclaim, but fans weren't ready for her to sing the entire song by herself and in its original key.

But that was exactly what she did. Though the song was originally performed by a trio, Clarkson sang it solo, and she performed it live in its original key, which includes multiple A5 runs.

Clarkson's performance was shared across social media but went particularly viral on X.

X users not only enjoyed Clarkson's performance, but they were also impressed that she'd accomplished what the original artists had not.

Many pointed out that even the original singing trio of Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami chose to sing "Golden" in a lower register when performing it live, and they also shared the parts.

Clarkson, on the other hand, sang all the parts herself and performed it in the key as it was originally written.

Kelly Clarkson brought wholesome content, laughs, and incredible music to fans' living rooms for seven seasons, and while she's stepping back to focus on her family during this pivotal moment in their lives, there's no doubt that there's more in store for her.

In the meantime, this performance was nothing short of golden and is something for fans to hold on to.
