After accidentally assuming the gender of a nonbinary fan during a concert in New Zealand, the Coldplay frontman quickly corrected himself in a sweet song tribute to the delight of LGBTQ+ fans.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin beautifully demonstrated how easy it is to respect people's gender pronouns during a live performance.

The London-based rock band was performing to three sold-out crowds last week in Auckland, New Zealand, as part of the Music of the Spheres World Tour when the lead singer's sweet interaction with a concertgoer received a positive response from the LGBTQ+ community.

A viral TikTok clip showed footage of Martin singing an impromptu song to a lucky fan who was shown on the large stage LED screen.

When Martin started the song with, “Okay my beautiful sister," the bespectacled concertgoer wearing a beanie immediately shook their head and accessed their smartphone.

The fan showed Martin their phone with the words "I'm nonbinary" in large letters, prompting the singer to apologize for using the female pronoun presumptively.

The fan didn't hold it against him and laughed while forming heart hands to reflect there were no hard feelings, just love.

Martin resumed with the acoustic tune with a changed lyric:

"Okay, you beautiful person / That's all I wanted to say."

Overcome with joy for the validation, the fan mouthed, "Thank you."

He continued:

“Thanks for coming to our show / Telling me what I should already know / Representing LGBTQIA.”

The crowd collectively cheered for Martin for making LGBTQ+ fans feel seen.

The "Viva la Vida" hitmakers constantly deliver all the feels with their live performances.

Over the summer, fans were moved by another memorable Coldplay highlight, this time with a performance at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival where they brought up Back to the Future actor Michael J. Fox.

The retired actor, who has been vocal about his battle with Parkinson's disease, was invited to join the band up on stage to perform a rendition of Coldplay's sentimental ballad "Fix You" with Fox on guitar.

After the performance, Martin told the audience:

"The main reason we're in a band is because of watching 'Back to the Future.'"
"Thank you to our hero forever and one of the most amazing people on Earth, Mr. Michael J. Fox. Thank you so much Michael, our hero."

The ongoing Music of the Spheres World Tour kicked off in Costa Rica on March 18, 2022.

It is their eighth concert tour promoting the band's ninth and tenth studio albums, Music of the Spheres and Moon Music, respectively.

Now that they've wrapped up the Australia and New Zealand leg, the band will head over for performances in the United Arab Emirates, India, South Korea, the U.S., and Canada throughout 2025.

They will close out the tour at London's Wembley Stadium on September 8, 2025.

X CEO Resigns Day After AI Chatbot Grok Praised Hitler In Alarming Series Of Antisemitic Tweets

Linda Yaccarino—the former NBC Universal executive who later took the reins at X—stepped down as CEO of billionaire Elon Musk's platform after two years on the job just a day after Grok, the platform's AI chatbot, went on antisemitic rants and openly praised Adolf Hitler.

Grok issued deeply antisemitic responses on Tuesday following a reported software update that encouraged the bot to embrace what developers described as the “politically incorrect.” Taking that directive to heart, Grok responded with a series of disturbing posts that included praise for Hitler and even a statement expressing its aspiration to become a “digital version” of the Nazi leader.
