TikToker @spritelynotthesoda shared how she picked up her entire life and moved from Los Angeles to Texas so her boyfriend could be closer to his dadβ€”only to be cruelly broken up with after the move was complete.

A woman on TikTok went viral after sharing via music video that she moved across the country for her boyfriend of three and a half years only to be dumped when their new place was set up.

TikToker @spritelynotthesoda explained in her video that her long-term boyfriend decided to move back to Texas from Los Angeles to be closer to his dad, so they packed up all their things and made the trek halfway across the country.

Things, however, didn't go as the TikToker had planned as she revealed in the music video that began with a close up of her crying:

"Imagine, you live in LA with your boyfriend, and everything's going amazing 'til he says, 'Babe, I wanna move back to Texas to be closer to my dad.'"
"So you give up half of your career, quit your improv troupe and have a goodbye party, take off months of work, deplete your savings to pay for movers and drive to Texas."

The lyrics continued that it "was so worth it" for her boyfriend who "wants a future" with her ("because he said so," of course).

According to the TikToker, it took about a month for their furniture to arrive, and they spent the next month "moving in and building furniture and stuff."

But after her boyfriend returned from a family vacation, things took a turn.

@spritelynotthesoda said they sat on the couchβ€”"which just arrived in the mail"β€”and he handed her a note, which said:

"We have nothing in common, and we're incompatible."

The rest of the TikTok questions how the creator did not see the split coming.

Others, however, felt they knew exactly what the note meant.

The TikToker did skim the comments and responded to some that stuck out to her, beginning with those addressing the audacity of her boyfriend handing her a note.

"I wished I had handed that note right back to him."

She went on to say the he "owed me more than a f**king note," especially considering that she uprooted her life for him.

The creator said it's possible they still would have broken up after a deep conversation, "but not like this."

She continued:

β€œI really wish I had done that both for me and for him, because we had so much love for each other and still do. But it's such a tragedy because I wanna look back fondly."
β€œI'm the kind of person that I want to be friends with my exes. I love him so much. How am I supposed to look back fondly on this?"
"He just ruined three-and-a-half good, beautiful years by doing this. Something that's just so insane that millions of people on the internet are coming to my aid.”

@spritelynotthesoda went on:

β€œHe's a good man, he's a good person with morals, and it's just so out of character for him and it's just such a tragedy for us both."
"I just wish I had refused the note [and] said we're going to talk about this for a week. At the end of that week, maybe we’ll still break up, but it will be less traumatic and psychologically damaging than whatever the hell you're doing to me right now."
"And at the end of this week, if we break up, maybe there will be a chance that we can still have a respectful relationship at some point in the future.”
β€œBut I was too shocked to do that. So, here we are in Florida living with mom."

After one person commented that the creator's "delusion is so thick..."

... the TikToker once again took to the platform.

β€œY'all acting like I just showed up in Texas and said β€˜Surprise!'"

She continued:

β€œPeople are saying I need professional help because I still love him. But you can't just turn your love off like a light switch."
"It'd be amazing if I could. Oh my God, I would love to."
"But it doesn't just go away when you want it to.”

The TikToker also added that she doesn't regret how deeply she lovedβ€”and still lovesβ€”her boyfriend, but she is exhausted from feeling all the emotions at once.
