Black Activist Schools Piers Morgan For Dismissing Meghan Markle's Racism Claims In Tense Interview

Black Activist Schools Piers Morgan For Dismissing Meghan Markle's Racism Claims In Tense Interview
Good Morning Britain

Just over a year after Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shocked the world by announcing their plans to give up their royal titles—effectively distancing themselves from life in England's royal family—the couple sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss the finer details of that big decision.

In the two-hour long bombshell interview, Markle, who identifies as mixed-race, shared she was the victim of racist treatment from the crown.

Specifically, Markle explained the Queen and company had "concerns and conversations" about Markle's son, Archie, who was still in utero at the time.

The monarchy apparently felt Archie's skin color could be a problem, and solidified their non-inclusive attitude by denying Archie the title of Prince and even refusing to grant the boy the highest level of security available, which the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton received without question.

Not surprisingly, the big interview became the object of analysis and raging debate across Britain and beyond.

And when Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan sat down to discuss the new developments with Black activist Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, things became heated.

Morgan accused Markle and Harry of making the "most incendiary charge I've seen in my career," and "spray gunning [Harry's] family on global television."

Dr. Mos-Shogbamimu, after fending off interruptions from Morgan, proceeded with a thorough schooling.

"Listen, you might learn something. The royal family is an institution rooted in colonialism, White supremacy and racism. The legacy is right there."
"So you're now surprised that a comment would have been made by several members of the royal family about how dark Archie's skin is."

When Morgan tried to interject again, Dr. Mos-Shogbamimu held firm.

"Let me finish."
"You're more outraged that Harry and Meghan had the audacity to speak their truth than you should be at the actual outrage of racism."

Morgan then fired back he felt Dr. Mos-Shogbamimu's comments about the Queen were disgusting.

Her response was succinct and clear:

"You are disgusting!"

People who saw the exchange were full of their own commentary.

Keep your eyes peeled for plenty of other heated debates in the wake of Harry and Meghan's interview, which undoubtedly has shed light on a dynamic at the heart of the monarchy and colonialism that needs to be discussed.

Dr. Oz Slammed For Tone Deaf Health Advice For Americans On Medicaid And Medicare

Dr. Mehmet Oz—now the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services—was criticized after he offered Americans unsolicited health advice during a Fox News appearance, saying that Americans shouldn't "eat carrot cake" as millions face cuts to their government-funded health insurance.

The passage of President Donald Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill" will cause 17 million people to lose valuable Medicare and Medicaid coverage. Under the bill, individuals earning just above the federal poverty line would be required to start paying out of pocket for certain Medicaid services, such as doctor visits and lab tests.

Adam Schiff Calls Out The Real Reason Trump Is Accusing Him Of 'Fraud'—And Yeah, That Tracks

California Democratic Senator Adam Schiff fired back at President Donald Trump after Trump accused Schiff of "possible mortgage fraud" in a Truth Social post—prompting Schiff to point out that Trump's attack is another attempt to take attention away from Trump's association with the late financier, pedophile, and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump, without citing evidence, said Fannie Mae’s financial crimes division found that Schiff had a “sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud" that involved misstating which home Schiff used as a primary residence, allowing him to secure a cheaper mortgage.
