While the impeachment hearings taking place in Washington DC dominated the news cycle, not everything was about President Donald Trump or the antics of his GOP supporters.

Some people focused on other things.

Like, does acting United States Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor sound like retired veteran newsman Tom Brokaw?

Taylor testified before Congress Wednesday and people thought he sounded very familiar.

So, do you hear it too?

Although some thought they may have heard the measured cadence of another broadcast news legend:

Walter Cronkite.

Or a blend of Brokaw with actor and director John Huston...

...or former Speaker of the House, John Boehner...

...as well as others.

And while assurances were made that Ambassador Taylor and Brokaw were not the same person...

...has anyone seen the two men at the same place at the same time?

The impeachment inquiry hearings continue. What other revelations they'll provide is anyone's guess.

Tom Brokaw's book The Fall of Richard Nixon: A Reporter Remembers Watergate is available here.
