What is SAG-AFTRA?

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG), along with the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), is the labor union that represents approximately 160,000 actors, announcers, broadcast journalists, dancers, DJs, news writers, news editors, program hosts, puppeteers, recording artists, singers, stunt performers, voiceover artists and other media professionals, according to SAG-AFTRA.

The annual SAG Awards recognize actors exclusively, including stunt performers. Only members of SAG vote on the nominees, according to Entertainment Weekly.
