TikToker @princess_per pretended she thought a bouquet of roses that had been delivered were from her husband despite knowing he'd forgotten her birthday—and viewers have thoughts.

There have always been people in the world who forget wish their partners "Happy Birthday" on their special day. Sometimes it's a matter of control or wanting to remain the center of attention, and sometimes it's a sign of severe indifference in the relationship.

But how long are we going to let this go on for? How many birthdays do we allow to go by before we break up with them?

TikToker @princess_per did not receive birthday wishes or any sort of gift from her husband in the past two years.

So after one of her friends sent her roses for her birthday, the TikToker decided to pull a prank.

"One of my amazing friends sent me roses today. I took out the card from her and told [my husband] 'Thank you for the roses.'"
"I told him they said, 'I love you.'"
"He said, 'I bet someone did it for me.' Uh... No one does that."
"He forgot my birthday last year, too. As the mom, we put together a dinner and bake the cake. When it's my birthday, I'm always curious if he will take that initiative."
"He said, 'I got you something way cooler than that [roses].' AKA: He's about to go back to town to find something."

It's unfortunately so common for moms to remember everyone's birthdays, holidays, and special occasions, and not have anyone else reciprocate the behavior for them, even their life partners.

TikTok was furious on this mom's behalf for how she was being treated. Not only was she not being shown the appreciation she deserved, but her husband couldn't even own up to his mistake.

Why does this have to be such a common thing? If you love someone, wouldn't you want them to feel recognized, appreciated, and loved? Because after all, birthdays are about celebrating that a loved one was born—without their birthday, they couldn't grace us with their presence.

We could all take a little more time to honor each other's birthdays.

Dr. Oz Slammed After His 'Credit Card' Health Care Analogy Goes Completely Off The Rails

Snake oil salesman Dr. Mehmet Oz—now the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services—was criticized after he tried to discuss U.S. health insurance providers' pledge to speed up the prior authorization process by oddly comparing it to a "credit card," underscoring just how much he doesn't understand the job he currently holds.

Earlier this week, major U.S. health insurers—including Cigna, Aetna, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare—announced a set of reforms aimed at simplifying the often frustrating prior authorization process for patients and providers.

Jon Ossoff Lays Into Project 2025 Architect For Trying To Gut The CDC In Fiery Takedown

Jasmine Crockett Calls Out Trump's Hypocrisy By Pointing Out How Melania Got Her Visa

Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett pointed out President Donald Trump's hypocrisy on immigration considering how First Lady Melania Trump's pathway to citizenship was possible because she received an "Einstein visa," which is usually reserved for an individual with "some sort of significant achievement."

Speaking during a House Judiciary Committee hearing titled “Restoring Integrity and Security to the Visa Process,” Crockett noted that “the idea that Trump and my Republican colleagues want to restore integrity and security in the visa process is actually a joke," and harshly criticized the Trump administration's immigration crackdown and visa restrictions.

Fox Host Comes To Reporter's Defense After Pete Hegseth Berates Her At Pentagon Briefing

Fox News' chief political analyst Brit Hume came to the defense of Fox national security reporter Jennifer Griffin after their former colleague, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, criticized Griffin as the reporter "who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says” in a Pentagon news conference.

Hegseth, a former Fox News anchor, had criticized media outlets—including his former network—for what he described as unpatriotic reporting. Hegseth took particular aim at early intelligence assessments suggesting that President Donald Trump's bombing of Iran may not have significantly crippled Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
