Trump Prides Himself On His Poor Grammar In Baffling Tweet And The Internet Has Jokes

Trump Prides Himself On His Poor Grammar In Baffling Tweet And The Internet Has Jokes
(@realDonaldTrump, @edhillmedia/Twitter)

Donald Trump prides himself on many of accomplishments.

But he is especially proud of his intelligence and his writing prowess.

He said so in a July 3 tweet.

Trump said:

"After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pore over my tweets looking for a mistake."

He finished out the tweet, saying:

"I capitalize certain words only for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!"

On Friday, he gave himself a firm pat on the back for defying the rules or grammar. And despite what anyone says, he emphatically declared he will continue breaking this grammatical rule for the good of the country.

Or "Country."

Okayyy.

Duly noted.

So whenever Trump refers to the USA, there will never be any doubt as to whether the word "c" in country will be capitalized or not.

Now Americans can put their minds at ease and sleep at night.

It is unclear what prompted the tweet, but the good people in our "Country" had some interesting theories to share.

Despite his declaration, he has not "always" capitalized the word "country."

He was, of course, raked across the coals by internet fact-checkers.

His declaration paved the way for others to come up with their own exception to grammatical rules.

But one citizen had a helpful suggestion for the President.

Just another ordinary day from the Trump White House.

Woman Horrified After Accidentally Shattering Roommate's $249 Louis Vuitton Chocolate Purse

There are a few "roommate etiquette" rules we should all be able to agree to: don't use or take something that doesn't belong to you, at least without asking; don't eat your roommate's food; and honestly, don't touch their food, especially with your bare hands.

A leading rule, however, should be: If you break something that belongs to your roommate, you should replace it.
