Taiwanese Woman's Eye Infection Turns Out To Actually Be Bees Living In Her Eyes—You Know, NBD

The world can be a terrifying place.

There's simply no denying it, especially when stories like this one emerge:

Taiwanese Woman's Eye Infection Turns Out To Actually Be Bees Living In Her Eyes.

You read that right.

A taiwanese girl, after participating in a tomb-sweeping festival, was experiencing sharp pains in her left eye.

Thinking she might have an eye infection, she quickly went to a doctor who delivered the horrifying news: four sweat bees were living in her eyelid, feasting on her tears.

Twitter users couldn't believe this was real...and that there were pictures.

Somehow the bees were removed ALIVE‽

Apparently, sweat bees are very common around grave sites like the one the girl was cleaning, so this didn't come as a huge surprise to the physicians.

Many Twitter users suspected they would have trouble sleeping after reading the story.

Tears should be the last thing anyone wants to eat!

Who knew such insane dangers were lurking just outside the door‽

So just remember the next time you're at a graveyard...there may be bees that want to live in your eyes.

Anything is possible in this great, big, beautiful world of ours.

And that is a horrifying truth.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
