Earlier in her career, singer and songwriter Taylor Swift took a neutral stance on politics which garnered criticism from her detractors and some of her fans.

But by 2018 the young woman had enough of the political climate in the United States.

For the first time in her career, Swift endorsed candidates for office during the midterm elections. For the 2020 election, Swift is making her opinion known early.

On Friday, May 29—with 157 days until the election—Swift took to Twitter to post:

"After stoking the fires of White supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? 'When the looting starts the shooting starts'???"
"We will vote you out in November [President Trump]."

People applauded Swift's response to the President's tweet threatening the protestors in Minneapolis.

The response included more than a few famous faces.

Within hours, the post broke the record for Swift's most liked tweet.

Her post clearly resonated.

Hopefully in November people will remember the passion her message evoked—whether they agreed or were angered by it—and vote.

Veterans Explain Which Things About The U.S. Military They Didn't Realize Until They Left

The saying, 'Can't see the forest for the trees' refers to a common inability to realize things about a situation a person is in while that person is in the thick of it. It's a similar idea to the saying 'hindsight is 20/20' which means reflection on past circumstances usually often more clarity than in the moment.

Actor Rob Schneider is about as MAGA as you can get, but even he is not on board with what President Donald Trump said about famed film director Rob Reiner following Reiner's murder.

Reiner and his wife, photographer Michelle, were murdered in their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home Sunday afternoon. Reiner's son, Nick, was charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of his parents. He faces a maximum sentence of life without parole or the death penalty, according to the Los Angeles district attorney.
