Meredith Wilson's seminal classic The Music Man at long last reopened on Broadway after two years of delays due to issues surrounding the pandemic, Scott Rudin—the original producer—and other problems.

And while The Music Man's long awaited opening wasn't particularly well-received, star Hugh Jackman has been praised for his performance. Jackman stars as as the eponymous music man himself Harold Hill—a conman who gets more than he bargains for when he stumbles upon River City, Iowa and their particularly headstrong and passionate librarian Marian.

He has also been ruthlessly teased by none other than Ryan Reynolds.

"I have the most amazing friends," wrote Jackman.

"Gorgeous flowers, champagne and heartfelt well wishes. I am blessed. And then, there’s him."

Alongside two portraits of Reynolds himself was a note stuck to one that simply said "Hugh, good luck with your little show. I'll be watching."

In reply, Reynolds simply retweeted Jackman without any further commentary.

But Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, who has helmed both Reynolds' Free Guy—which Jackman has a cameo in—and the upcoming The Adam Project were both in the audience for opening night.

Reynolds appeared to enjoy the show, posting to his Instagram story it was "actually perfect."

The Music Man is now running at the Winter Garden theater in midtown Manhattan, New York, New York.

Reynolds' The Adam Project will be released March 11, 2022.

Model Accuses Fashion Brand Of Using AI To Recreate Her Looks For Ad Instead Of Hiring Her

There used to be laws in place for someone's likeness being used without their consent, and most certainly if their likeness was being used in an exploitative way for profit.
