Ryan Reynolds Offers Hilarious Response After Kid Asks Him If Movie Kiss With Zoe Saldana Was 'Real'

Ryan Reynolds Offers Hilarious Response After Kid Asks Him If Movie Kiss With Zoe Saldana Was 'Real'

After all his years in the entertainment business, actor Ryan Reynolds is adept at answering tough questions at press junkets and Q&A sessions.

But even after all that practice at a recent event for his new Netflix movie The Adam Project, an elementary school kid was able to stump the star.

The kid asked Reynolds if the steamy onscreen kiss he shared with fellow actor Zoe Saldana was real—and it left the usually quick-witted Reynolds tongue-tied.

See the moment below.

Reynolds' initial response to the kid was a single word:

"Whoa."

While Reynolds squirmed, visibly uncomfortable, his co-star actor Jennifer Garner called it "the best Q&A ever" while the moderator joked Reynolds' wife, actor Blake Lively, was "throwing her voice" really well.

Reynolds gamely played along, peering out into the crowd and asking, bewildered, "Honey? What the fu...?"

But he eventually found his way through the question.

He told the boy:

“I guess it was kinda, kinda real?"
"But how do I answer this?"
"Is this being broadcast everywhere, too?"

He then shrugged and winced and added regarding the kiss:

"I didn’t mean it?”

As the audience got a good laugh, Reynolds confessed he has trouble explaining stuff like this to his own children.

“I don’t know how to explain this to my own kids, but they watch this and [say] like ‘Daddy, what are you doing?"
"It’s exactly the tactic I would use on them ― not anger, but just disappointment."

He then closed with one of his signature, sarcastic quips delivered to the boy.

"Yeah, great question though."
"The exit’s that way.”

As always, Reynolds' legion of fans on social media absolutely loved the moment.

That'll teach Ryan to ever allow kids into his Q&A events again.

Last year, Trump ordered the demolition of the entire East Wing to make way for a 90,000 square-foot ballroom that will dwarf the size of the White House itself, sparking alarm from historical preservationists and the public alike.

It's well-known across the internet that it takes forever for men to use the restroom. For dads especially, in the time it takes them to poop, when they return to the house, their kids will have aged seven years, and their baby will have learned to walk.

These are jokes, of course, but it's an internet consensus that men spend a really long time on the porcelain throne.

In early 2024, 49-year-old Antonia Eastwood married Ashley Monk after about five months of dating. During the ceremony, Antonia tripped while walking down the aisle.

Antonia and Ashley were both suspicious that she did not trip accidentally and that Ashley's sister, Gemma, actually tripped her. Gemma and Antonia were not close, and the couple also believed that Gemma might be jealous that they were marrying after five months, though she'd been with her childhood sweetheart for 20 years without tying the knot.
