Nico Santos and Zeke Smith's wedding in Palm Springs unintentionally coincided with the city's Pride celebration after the couple previously got engaged during the 2022 GLAAD Media Awards.

Fans on social media are celebrating the nuptials of Nico Santos and Zeke Smith, who tied the knot on November 4.

The Superstore actor and his Survivor husband unintentionally planned their Palm Springs wedding the same weekend as the city's Pride celebration. Instead of rescheduling, though, the couple decided to make the affair extra celebratory.

Smith, who was outed as transgender in a 2017 episode of Survivor, told People that the ceremony, which was officiated by Santos’ Superstore co-star Mark McKinney, was a way for the couple to celebrate becoming a family.

“For us, we’ve been together for almost six years. We own a home together, have a joint bank account. We’re each other’s emergency contacts. By all sorts of usual metrics we are married.”
“But actually having the ceremony, making it legal, it’s about becoming a family."
"We’re in it forever. Through thick and thin and easy and hard. We’re going to be the person that’s there for the other one.”

As for their wedding landing on the same weekend as Palm Springs' 2023 Pride weekend, the couple couldn't have been happier.

“It’s a big gay wedding."
“A lot of our guests are queer as well, so we thought let’s just stick to the date and have it during Pride weekend. So it’ll be extra gay.”

Santos' Superstore costar America Ferrera commented:

"Such a beautiful pic!!!"
"Devastated to miss it. Hope it was the best day ever!! ❤️❤️"

Last year at the GLAAD Media Awards in LA, Smith surprised Santos with an on-stage proposal, which was completely fitting given the two were introduced at the event in 2018.

Santos shared with People:

“It’s just really great to finally have met your person who is going to hold your hand and will have your back no matter what."

Congrats to the happy couple!

Nancy Mace's Claim That No One Would Know Simone Biles' Name If Men Competed Against Her Gets Epically Fact-Checked

South Carolina MAGA Republican Representative Nancy Mace has been making a name for herself by being the most vulgar and vile anti-trans person in Congress. She's screamed transphobic slurs in official committee meetings and attacked anyone who opposes her bigotry.

Now she's decided to take on the most decorated gymnast in history—in women's and men's gymnastics—Simone Biles, who holds the record for the most Olympic and World Championship medals combined. Biles won 41 medals in just those events, surpassing all other gymnasts.

Vance Tried To Make A Joke About Seeing 'Les Misérables' At The Kennedy Center—And It's Peak Cringe

Vice President JD Vance had people groaning after he made a bad joke about the production of Les Misérables he and his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, attended at the Kennedy Center with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

The musical, set in 19th century France, tells the story of Jean Valjean, an ex-convict who is released from prison for stealing a loaf of bread. The story touches on timeless themes such as justice and mercy—and also happens to be about people resisting an authoritarian takeover, which many find ironic given the Trump administration's response to protests in Los Angeles.

People Who Smashed Wedding Cake In Their Spouse's Face Reveal How Their Relationship Is Going Now

According to The Knot wedding resource magazine and website, smashing cake into the face of a spouse after tying the knot is a tradition tied to medieval England. To celebrate the marriage, the bride would toss a piece of piece of cake over her shoulder for good luck.

This evolved into newlyweds feeding a piece of cake to one another, then taking frosting or a small bit of cake and rubbing it gently onto each other's faces—usually the cheek or tip of the nose.
