Donald Trump Basically Just Admitted His North Korea Denuclearization Talks Aren't Going That Well, and Twitter Is Dragging Him Hard

Savage.

President Donald Trump broke off denuclearization talks with North Korea on Friday, firing off a series of tweets in which he blamed friction with China for a lack of "sufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."

"I have asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo not to go to North Korea, at this time," the president wrote, "because I feel we are not making sufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula."

Trump said that because of his "much tougher Trading stance with China," he does "not believe they are helping with the process of denuclearization."

The president concluded his proclamation with praise for North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, sending his "warmest regards" and "respect."

I look forward to seeing him soon!

This is, of course, a total reversal from Trump's numerous assertions that North Korea no longer poses a nuclear threat.

The president appears to be reaping the consequences of his metastisizing trade war with China, on whom Trump has levied hundreds of billions of dollars worth of tariffs since this past spring. China has imposed retaliatory tariffs on exports from the United States.

The resulting deterioration in American-Chinese relations, for which Trump is responsible, according to Trump, has left China with little reason to cooperate in the effort to denuclearize North Korea.

Social media tore into the president because really, he should have seen this coming.

This is why "previous presidents did not start a trade war with China."

So much for an "easy to win trade war," huh.

Others felt Trump canceling talks with North Korea was just an attempt at distraction from the disastrous legal week the president has had.

For others, it's simple: "You got played," Stephen King replied.

And the United States got nothing out of the "deal" Trump and Kim signed in Singapore this summer.

So much for that Nobel Prize.

Make no mistake - the collapse of the North Korea nuclear talks is a massive blow to Trump's perception of his presidency.

'America's Next Top Model' Winner Calls Out New Documentary For Viewing Show Through 'Woke Lens'

The 1990s and early 2000s were a very different time when it came to entertainment, especially how women and people of color were treated on television.

An infamous example of this was the hit television show America's Next Top Model, which ran for 24 seasons. There have been stereotypes and distasteful jokes circulating forever about what it takes to be a model, most focusing on dietary restrictions and infidelity, but America's Next Top Model took that to an entirely different place.

Conservatives Are Melting Down Over 'He-Man' Movie Joke About Pronouns—And They Missed The Point Entirely

Conservatives have basically two cherished hobbies: caterwauling about trans people and missing the point of every joke. And with the release of the trailer for the new He-Man movie, they got to do both in one go!

Nicholas Galitzine stars as the titular super hero in the upcoming film adaptation Masters of the Universe, and given our times, it's only natural the film would make a joke about pronouns.

Even MTG Is Demanding That MAGA Admit The Killing Of Alex Pretti Was Completely Unjustified

Former Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to speak out against the MAGA movement that brought her to national prominence, this time calling on Republicans to condemn the killing of Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis.

Calls for an investigation have intensified from across the political spectrum after analysis of multiple videos showed ICE officers removing a handgun from Pretti—a weapon that authorities said Pretti was permitted to carry but was not handling at the time—before fatally shooting him.

Minnesota Republican Condemns His Party In Powerful Video Announcing He's Dropping Out Of Gubernatorial Race

In a post across his social media, one of the Republican frontrunners for governor of Minnesota announced he would be ending his campaign due to the GOP's actions in his state.

In an almost 11-minute video, trial attorney Chris Madel condemned the administration of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee in the wake of what he characterized as retaliatory actions by the Trump administration, Kristi Noem's Department of Homeland Security, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minnesota that resulted in the recent murders of two United States citizens—Renée Good and Alex Pretti.
