Markle shared her surprise and excitement after she was able to connect with Billie Eilish to help out a young fan whose Altadena home was destroyed in the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles—and Eilish delivered big time.

Meghan Markle used her connections to help out a 15-year-old Billie Eilish fan whose family's home was destroyed in the Altadena Fire during the LA wildfires that raged across southern California at the start of the year.

The member of the British royal family and her husband, Prince Harry, were among many celebrities spotted at volunteer sites providing aid and assistance to thousands of people who either lost their homes in the conflagrations or were forced to evacuate.

In an Instagram video, Markle said she encountered a young girl while visiting a community "where all the homes were left in ashes."

Markle met the 15-year-old and her mother on the first day they returned to their home, which was completely burned down in the fire.

The mother explained to the Duchess of Sussex that all that her daughter was hoping to retrieve from the devastation was a T-shirt from the Billie Eilish concert she had gone to that had been left in the washing machine or dryer.

With the units gone amidst the pile of rubble and ashes and no hope of getting back the coveted tee, Markle was determined to do something about it.

"I don't know Billie Eilish, but I'm going to figure out how to get you this T-shirt," Markle pledged to the teen.

Markle said she thought of all her connections and recorded a voice note in the hopes of getting it to the "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" singer.

It appears Eilish came through.

The video cut to Markle showing a pile of brand new folded Billie Eilish concert T-shirts and sweatshirts.

"You guys, I don't know what all this stuff means, but look at this!" Markle exclaimed, and she pulled up a vinyl album to reveal it had been autographed for the young fan.

"It's signed for her!" she said.

She then picked up a Billie Eilish lunchbox and joked:

"Is that a thing? A lunchbox thing? I don't know
This is when I feel really old."

Markle continued thanking Eilish and other friends who helped get the message out to help make the teen's day.

“Huge thank you, Billie Eilish, this is going to mean so much to her, and honestly, to Adam Levine and Behati, you guys helped get this over the line.”

She added:

“To everyone who is showing up for people in big and small ways to get through what’s happened in California, just thank you so much!”

The clip concluded with Markle saying, “I’m going to go and email her mom now!”

People were moved by her act of kindness.

The 43-year-old retired actor, known for starring in Suits, wrote in the caption:

Let’s keep supporting those affected by the California wildfires."
"Thanks to everyone who made this possible but most importantly, thank you to our first responders who are the community’s real heroes."

The Pacific Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire, which included Altadena where Markle and Prince Harry visited, are contained and no longer active since they started on January 7, 2025.

However, the regions remain at high risk for wildfires due to low humidity and the possibility of the strong Santa Ana winds that fanned the flames early last month picking up again.

The wildfires destroyed an estimated 12,000 homes and businesses and displaced tens of thousands of SoCal residents. Rebuilding efforts are underway.

As of January 27, the death toll reached 29 after the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office reported an additional fire-related death on Monday.
