MAGA Senator Slammed After Suggesting Trump Trial Jurors May Not Be American Citizens

GOP Senator Tommy Tuberville was swiftly called out after questioning whether the jurors in Trump's hush money trial are actually American citizens, claiming the trial is putting the ex-President through 'mental anguish.'

Republican Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville was lambasted for suggesting the jurors in former Republican President Donald Trump's election interference trial may not be American citizens.

Trump's former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, testified this week about his involvement in falsifying business records relating to the $130,000 Trump paid before the 2016 presidential election to silence adult film star Stormy Daniels, who alleged she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records with the intent of concealing the hush money payment to benefit his campaign by covering up a potentially damaging story ahead of the election.

Outside the Lower Manhattan courtroom on Monday, Tuberville stood before media and ranted:

"I am disappointed at looking at the American—supposedly American citizens in that courtroom—that the DA comes in and he acts like it is his Superbowl."
"And I guess it is. To be noticed."

You can watch a clip here.

He continued:

"But that's what's happening in this country."
"The Republican candidate for president of the United States is going through mental anguish in a courtroom that's very depressing."
"Very depressing."

The Biden-Harris campaign team also shared the video..

"Tommy Tuberville attacks the jurors, suggesting they aren’t American citizens, and says they’re putting Trump through 'mental anguish,'" read the X (formerly Twitter) post.

Trump could risk going to jail if he continues to violate the gag order in place to prevent him from attacking witnesses or members of the jury during the trial.

So, some folks online have posited that he's simply having surrogates do it for him.

Others continued mocking the Senator's meltdown and his attempt to elicit sympathy for the presumptive GOP nominee.

Users were not letting up.

Cohen returned to the witness stand on Tuesday for his second day of testimony against his former boss.

AG Pam Bondi's Brother Blames 'Rabid Partisans' After Getting Absolutely Walloped In DC Election

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump has often bragged about his overwhelming victory over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming he won by a landslide. But while he did manage to finally win a popular vote in 2024, something he lost in 2016 and 2020, it was hardly a landslide.

About 90 million eligible, registered voters didn't bother to vote at all in 2024, while Trump garnered only ~77 million votes, VP Harris received about ~75 million—a difference of only ~2 million which is less than the population of Trump's hometown of Queens, New York City.

Kristi Noem's Past Views On National Guard Come Back To Bite Her After She Backs Trump Amid LA Protests

California Governor Gavin Newsom called out the hypocrisy of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after sharing a clip from last year showing she'd once criticized the Biden administration for considering deploying the National Guard when Democrats suggested it as a response to Texas' immigration crackdown at the time.

That's noteworthy because Noem has made an about-face, defending President Donald Trump's decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles amid ongoing protests in response to his administration's immigration raids by claiming he'd taken this drastic step "for the safety of this community ... to keep peace."

Gavin Newsom Perfectly Calls Out Jim Jordan's Hypocrisy After Jordan Rants About What We Do 'In America'

After Ohio Representative Jim Jordan criticized Los Angeles protesters who've held Mexican flags in a symbolic move against President Donald Trump's immigration policies, California Governor Gavin Newsom called out his hypocrisy by sharing images of the January 6 insurrection.

Jordan, who chairs the House Judiciary Account, used the body's official X account to admonish "Democrat-run Los Angeles" by sharing a Fox News video of a protester who waved a Mexican flag as he circled a burning car on his motorcycle.
