The 'Succession' star blamed their hectic work schedules and living on different coasts—along with the 'nightmare' of traveling with toddlers.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Kieran Culkin admitted that he and his brother Macaulay Culkin have yet to meet each other's youngest kids due to conflicting work schedules.

By sharing that tidbit of information, Kieran let it slip that his brother and wife had welcomed a second child.

At the season 4 premiere of HBO's Succession, in which Kieran stars as cantankerous middle sibling Roman Roy, the 40-year-old New Yorker shared what it was like to have expanded his personal family with cousins for the little ones.

"Well, the cousins live in Los Angeles," he said of Macaulay's kids. "We live in New York."

"I have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old and as busy as I am there's just no getting on a plane and going and same with them."

He revealed:

"I haven't met no. 2 yet and they haven't met [my] no. 2 yet either, cause we just haven't been able to figure that out."

Why Macaulay Culkin & Kieran Culkin’s New Babies Haven’t Met Yetyoutu.be

Macaulay Culkin had his major Hollywood breakthrough in 1990 playing lead character Kevin McCallister in Home Alone.

He and fiancé Suite Life of Zack and Cody alum Brenda Strong have a son, Dakota Song Culkin, who was born in April 2021.

Dakota was named after Macaulay's older sister who died in a car accident in 2008.

The couple recently confirmed they secretly welcomed their second child, Carson, just before Christmas last year.

Kieran and wife Jazz Charton share two kids together: a daughter, Kinsey Sioux, who was born in September 2019; and a son, Wilder Wolf, who was born in August 2021.

The interviewer noted how traveling with an infant can be stressful, to which Kieran agreed, adding:

"We have a 1-and-a-half-year-old, the first go around we did that, she was about 19 months, I think? Nightmare."
"She's 3-and-a-half now — now she's good on a plane—but our son is about a year-and-a-half, so we're not getting him on a plane anytime soon."
"It's just a nightmare."

Earlier in the interview, Kieran talked about how he had been oblivious to the increasing popularity of Succession due to his private life at home.

"I really don't have a sense of that until people tell me," he said when asked to elaborate on his thoughts about the show's overall success.

"I live in a very small little world. I'm at work and if I'm not, I'm at home with my wife and kids. I don't really do anything."

The two brothers have worked together as child actors in a number of films, including Home Alone and Home Alone 2, in which they played cousins.

Kieran won a Critics' Choice Television Award in 2022 for his performance in Succession and also earned nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2020 and 2022, as well as three Golden Globe Award nominations in 2019, 2020, and 2022, for the same role.

The fourth and final season of Succession will premiere on HBO Max on March 26, 2023.
