A 60ft inflatable doll of SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian in her underwear has popped up in the middle of Times Square—and some fans are calling it out for being inappropriate.

If there's one talent Kim Kardashian has, it's how to get attention, and this week she took it to a whole new level.

A sixty-foot blow-up doll of her underwear-clad likeness has appeared in Times Square as a promotion for her SKIMS clothing brand.

The display, smack-dab in the middle of Manhattan, has certainly caught plenty of eyes, both on the streets of New York and the internet.

Kardashian herself shared her excitement on Instagram, posting a photo to her Story with the caption:

"OMG... I cannot believe there is a 60 foot float of me in SKIMS Swim in the middle of Times Square."

The display is meant to promote SKIMS' upcoming summer swimwear line, and features Kardashian's buxom likeness in a blue bikini-style set.

But that new line has mostly been eclipsed by the uproar over the blow-up doll, which has definitely drawn mixed reactions.

Plenty of people online were loving the display, of course—the Kardashians are certainly not without their fans. But they seemed to be mostly outweighed by those who found the inflatable to be a bit much.

A lot of people felt the blow-up doll was downright offensive. One person wrote:

"I just walked past this on my way home and it was disturbing and unnecessary. Especially considering how many children walk through Times Square each day."

Others called it "creepy," "weird," or scolded New York City authorities for allowing it. And many felt it was inappropriate for the eyes of children passing by.

Anyway, those upset about the blow-up doll can take heart—it seems to have been short-lived.

According to a video circulating on X, it has already been deflated.

Model Accuses Fashion Brand Of Using AI To Recreate Her Looks For Ad Instead Of Hiring Her

There used to be laws in place for someone's likeness being used without their consent, and most certainly if their likeness was being used in an exploitative way for profit.

But now with the rise of AI-generated photographs, advertisements, and other digital products, the lines seem to have become muddied between the illegal stealing of someone's likeness and AI "inspiration."
