Controversial Texas MAGA Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton is going after Democratic activist Beto O'Rourke to distract from his state's gerrymandering.
MAGA Republican President Donald Trump ordered Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas GOP to user voter suppression through redistricting to convert five Democratic seats in the House of Representatives from blue to red.
O'Rourke is fighting back against Texas' political corruption.
Paxton knows all about corruption, having been hit with 16 articles of impeachment in 2023. Like Trump, a GOP controlled Senate saved Paxton from being convicted.
In order to try to hinder efforts to halt the Texas GOP from doing Trump's dirty work, Paxton is demanding O'Rourke be arrested.
Political watchdogs and activists are sounding the alarm.
But O'Rourke is unbothered by Paxton's usual misinformation—since it's easily disproven.
O’Rourke’s attorney, Mimi Marziani, said:
"In their zeal I guess to intimidate a political rival, they are actually lying to the court."
"They have no basis for this lawsuit."
Paxton didn't get the traction or support he hoped for with his grandstanding.
@JuanCastel21756/X
Paxton’s motion to hold O’Rourke in contempt accused him of raising funds to directly assist the dozens of Texas Democratic lawmakers who left the state.
The Democratic exodus is preventing Abbott from holding a special session of the Texas legislature to pass his new Trump-ordered gerrymandered congressional map for the state.
Paxton seeks to gain Trump's favor—any way he can—for his U.S. Senate run. Paxton hopes to replace retiring Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn.
Parenting is tough business, and it should be a concern that parents can do something that will change their children forever, sometimes for the worse.
This is true for human children and pet parents, by the way.
TikToker @nick_norcia swiped his hand down his face and through his clustered hair, stressed after learning that the hard way, before launching into a cautionary tale that left fellow TikTokers either in a state of rage or shock.
Norcia first brought attention to his roommate's beautiful white dog circling in the backyard.
"So, I want you all to witness her [my roommate's dog] right now. See how it appears that she's looking for something?"
The dog was circling, tail wagging, and ears perking up and down, as she was clearly trying to track something down.
The TikToker continued, now sharing a cautionary tale with the public:
"Okay, so, this is where I come clean and talk about how I broke my roommate's dog."
"So about two years ago, I noticed she liked reflections. So I took a mirror out here [in the backyard], and we played a little game of fetch to find the reflection."
"I did post a video of it. I thought I was being a little cute little innocent boy with a dog, and then a lot of veterinarians specifically were like, 'Do not do this.' I was like, 'What?' They were like, 'No, this will literally give your dog a mental disorder.'"
"So basically, two years later..."
The entire time while the TikToker had been relaying this information, his roommate's dog had been circling the backyard.
Norcia admitted the veterinarians' advice had been correct.
"She is still looking for the reflection."
"It kind of gave her a touch of schizophrenia. Definitely ADHD. But she's always looking for something."
"Theo [the other dog in the family] is great, because I haven't played the game with him."
"This is your sign to not do that. Don't, because... [gestures to dog] She's fine, but she's a little special."

When one TikToker asked how Norcia wasn't consumed by guilt, he stated in a second video that he felt terrible about it and was ready to do anything it took to help the dog get better.
Because of a series of tragedies in his life, he'd learned to joke about tough subjects, which unfortunately now included Laser Pointer Syndrome, but he did feel terribly about it.

Norcia stated that they'd already tried attached a laser pointer to treats, so the dog could be tricked into thinking that she ate it and that the light was gone now and didn't need to be looked for anymore. He'd also tried attaching one to a frisbee, so the light could be a part of something tangible that she didn't need to search for.
Neither had worked, so he assumed that either medication or dog training was the next step.
Let this be a warning to you!
We can all agree that gossiping isn't the greatest pastime, right? It can be harmful, and it just isn't the best use of a person's time.
But sometimes you have to match someone else's energy.
TikToker @ish.bish was thoroughly entertained on an international flight as he watched the drama unfold between an ungrateful passenger and an increasingly disgruntled pilot.
The situation began with the pilot announcing to the flight that the plane would have to make an unscheduled stop in Newfoundland, Canada, because there was a passenger on board who needed immediate medical care and could not wait until their destination.
The TikToker smiled slightly, looked out the window at the sky, and wiggled his eyebrows, but otherwise did not have any other reaction.
He filmed another clip for the video as the plane came in for a landing, and medical personnel were already waiting on the strip to pick up the passenger.
But the tea came in hot two hours later, when the flight was finally able to take off again, and the pilot stated:
"You'll be happy to learn that our passenger, which, we saved her life, was a bit angry to be offloaded from the aircraft."
"She gave us the finger when leaving the aircraft, and she's still... being very angry at the hospital. That's it."
The TikToker covered his mouth in shock at the fed-up "That's it!" from the pilot and wrote in the caption:
"The captain was not having it."

It's clear that this pilot was just doing his job and did what he had to do to best serve a passenger in medical crisis, and all of the other passengers who could have been impacted.
Was it necessary to vent about the situation? No. But was it well-deserved? TikTok sure thinks so!
It might have been frustrating for the passenger to have to get off the plane and book a new flight after they'd received treatment, but at least they were cared for.
Feminism preaches equal treatment and opportunities for all, and women are just as capable as men in driving, pumping gas, and all of the typical day-to-day things that an adult might be expected to do.
But there are still some things that are nice for men to do for their girlfriends and wives, like driving, pumping the gas, walking on the edge of the sidewalk, and sometimes picking up the tab.
But TikToker @puckettrealestate didn't seem to get that memo when he was in the passenger seat, working on his laptop, while his wife, Lauren, did the driving.
Not only that, but she also stopped to get gas—and when she attempted to get the gas herself, something surprising happened.
The TikToker reported:
"Lauren [his wife] got approached at a gas station pump."
"Here I am working, not pumping the gas, where I normally do, as the husband."
"Of course, the one time I don't, a guy came up to her at the pump and was like, 'Someone as beautiful as you shouldn't be pumping her own gas.'"
"And I'm like..."
Then he cringed for the camera.
Though he seemed somewhat perturbed by this, he was not upset enough to actually do anything about it.
He continued to film as the guy pumped the gas and Lauren got out of the car to make casual conversation with him.
She jokingly asked how many women he'd pumped gas for that day, and he said she was "the one and only."
The gentleman said:
"I looked over and saw you and was like, 'Oh hell no!'"
Lauren laughed and the two continued to talk, while the TikToker complained that he was "right there," and even questioned if Lauren was going to bring up the fact that she was married.
At the very end of the video, he did thank the gentleman for pumping the gas for them, but otherwise did not seem happy about the situation.
The TikToker even deadpanned in the caption:
"Chivalry is not dead."

We all understand the pressures of working from home and having to meet those deadlines, but anyone can spare two minutes to pump the gas.
TikTokers already thought that it was a bad look that the wife was driving while the husband was working on his laptop, and it was worse that she was also pumping the gas when he could've done so.
But when another man—who she didn't know—complimented her and stepped in for her, that should have set off every warning in this guy's head and caused him to step in and assist his own wife.
We've all heard of the walk of shame, but have we heard of the car wash of shame?
TikToker @sweetteataylor found himself in a uniquely awkward situation after he hooked up with a guy a few nights before via Grindr. When the guy was getting ready to leave, he dropped his wallet, exposing a photo of him with his wife and children.
The TikToker was shocked, realizing what their relationship was and what it would do to the man's family.
But nothing could have prepared him for pulling through the automated car wash, only to realize that the man and his family were in the car in front of him.
He filmed the video, torn about what he should do, because he wanted to confront him, but he also didn't want to create an awkward and maybe harmful situation in the middle of a public car wash.

In a follow-up video, the TikToker admitted that he wanted to confront the guy, but seeing the guy's wife and children present gave him pause.
The TikToker pointed out that he wasn't interested in being a "homewrecker" and would have made different decisions if he'd known what the man's wallet contained before they spent time together.
But when he saw the family at the car wash, he was tempted to approach and confront the man, and he was definitely interested in letting the wife know—in case it was new information to her—so she could make the decision that was best for her, her physical and sexual health, and her mental health.
But because the man knew where he lived and could retaliate, and because he didn't know what kind of home life the wife and children had with him, he didn't want to confront them right there and potentially put someone in danger. He also didn't want to bring the children into this, who were totally harmless and innocent bystanders.

Though TikTok hoped that he would have other opportunities to confront the man and let his wife know of what was going on, they otherwise applauded him for how he handled the situation, namely for being mindful of his safety and also not hurting the wife and children more than they already would be with the reveal of an affair.
