Friends don't let vegan friends eat non-vegan food... unless it's for a TikTok.

One TikTok is going viral after a TikToker posted a video showing her vegan friend eating a macaron, a typically non-vegan food item, for the first time while the friend keeps the contents of the macaron a secret.

In the 10 second TikTok posted by user @lilibilifili, she shows her friend who has been a vegan of six years, trying the delicious French pastry for the first time.

Unbeknownst to her, however, is the fact macarons are not part of a vegan diet as they're usually made using egg whites. @lilibilifili was aware of this fact but failed to tell her friend.

The exchange is sparking major debate amongst TikTok users, with many arguing this is simply not okay while others made the assertion it was instances like this that made them stop being vegan.

While many were quick to point out the seriousness of the situation, others endeavored to bring some levity to it by poking fun at the narration on the video.

The video currently has 1.4 million views, 758,000 likes, and nearly 1,600 comments.

Text overlay on the video read:

"My friend who is a vegan of six years is eating a macaron for the first time and looks so happy I don't want to tell her."

Some TikTokers were quick to point out @lilibilifili's actions were disrespectful and could have caused her friend serious harm if she had an egg allergy or reaction to animal proteins after six years.

In response to a comment saying to tell the friend and record her reaction, @lilibilifili revealed the friend took the news rather well, all things considered.

Hopefully the macaron was worth it for her friend.

Even Trump's NASA Director Had To Set Kim Kardashian Straight After She Said The Moon Landing 'Didn't Happen'

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy—who is also NASA's Acting Administrator—issued the weirdest fact-check ever when he corrected reality star Kim Kardashian after she revealed herself to be a moon landing conspiracist.

Conspiracy theorists have long alleged the moon landing was fabricated by NASA in what they claim was an elaborate hoax—and Kardashian certainly made it clear where she stands in a video speaking to co-star Sarah Paulson on the set of the new Hulu drama All’s Fair.

MAGA singer Kid Rock was called out by Loretta Claiborne, the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics, after he used the "r-word"—a known ableist slur—to describe his Halloween costume this year.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters when he donned a face mask and said he'd be going as a "r**ard" for Halloween. Watters had guessed he was dressed as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who spearheaded the nation's COVID-19 pandemic response.
