'Traitors' Star Dylan Efron Reveals How He Saved Two Women From Drowning In Miami

Efron explained on Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast how he recently saved two women from drowning during a trip to Miami's South Beach with his Traitors costar Sam Asghari.

Dylan Efron of The Traitors season 3 recently shared a dramatic and heroic moment from a trip to Miami’s South Beach, where he stepped in to help beachgoers in distress.

Efron recounted the experience on a recent episode of Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast, explaining that it was his first visit to South Beach.

Upon arriving, he noticed chaos unfolding in the water. He observed several people with their hands raised, screaming for help amid strong rip currents. The scene was urgent, and beachgoers on shore also signaled distress.

Joined by his friend Brennan and fellow Traitors castmate Sam Asghari, Efron realized there were no lifeguards in sight, so he and Brennan sprinted into the water to assist. Two of the five women in trouble were already receiving help, so Efron swam one woman to safety, then returned to assist another farther out.

He described the final rescue, saying the woman clung to him in a prolonged embrace once they reached shore. She did not speak, but the gratitude was clear.

Efron, like his brother Zac Efron—who starred in Baywatch—is very active and committed to physical fitness. In February, he said he taught himself to swim by watching YouTube videos in preparation for competing in triathlons.

Because of his training and frequent time spent in the water, Efron said he felt comfortable responding to the emergency, even though the current was strong enough to pull them nearly a football field’s length away from their entry point.

People were impressed by the rescue, but also framed it as another really great thing he's done.

It was easy to picture him coming to the rescue.
