Nikki Haley's Endorsement Of Trump Comes Back To Haunt Her After Trump's Latest 'Birdbrain' Insult

Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that he no longer wants recommendations of people who worked for his enemies, including "Birdbrain" Nikki Haley.

Failed 2024 GOP hopeful Nikki Haley's endorsement of President-elect Donald Trump came back to haunt her after Trump posted on Truth Social that he no longer wants recommendations of people who worked for his enemies, including "Birdbrain" Nikki Haley, who previously served as the United Nations Ambassador during the first Trump administration.

Haley, once Trump's primary rival on the campaign trail, gave him her "strong endorsement" during a speech at the Republican National Convention over the summer, ending months of speculation about whether she would support her former opponent.

But her remarks came just weeks after she was called out for reversing course by announcing her plan to vote for Trump in the 2024 election after previously calling him a "disaster" in a speech in February.

At the time, Haley said there are politicians who have "publicly embraced Trump" yet "privately dread him," declaring that she is "not afraid to say the hard truth out loud" and that she feels "no need to kiss the ring."

Sure looks like she did, though—and all for nothing.

Trump wrote:

“As of today, the incoming Trump Administration has hired over 1,000 people for The United States Government. They are outstanding in every way, and you will see the fruits of their labor over the coming years. We will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and it will happen very quickly!"
"In order to save time, money, and effort, it would be helpful if you would not send, or recommend to us, people who worked with, or are endorsed by Americans for Prosperity (headed by Charles Koch), "Dumb as a Rock" John Bolton, "Birdbrain" Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, disloyal warmongers Dick Cheney, and his Psycho daughter, Liz, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, General(?) Mark Milley, James Mattis, Mark Yesper [sic], or any of the other people suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, more commonly known as TDS."
"Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Haley's decision to ultimately align herself with Trump clearly had not paid off, and people were quick to mock her in response.

Trump has always valued loyalty among his staff, and his recent post signals that he will not tolerate administration officials with ties to Republicans who have criticized or distanced themselves from him.

The president-elect’s comments came after a report in The New York Times revealed that Trump had spoken with Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito earlier this month. The discussion followed the recommendation of one of Alito’s former clerks, William Levi, for a role in the administration.

According to the report, some Trump allies opposed Levi’s appointment because of his previous service in the Trump administration as chief of staff to then-Attorney General Bill Barr. While Barr was nominated by Trump, their relationship soured after Barr rejected Trump’s claims of election fraud following the 2020 election.
