TikToker @keepingup.withkeke shared how she discovered her long-distance boyfriend was cheating on her after going through a pile of receipts he left on the kitchen counter.

Every relationship is different, depending on what the couple is hoping to gain from that relationship and how they're feeling about commitment at that time.

TikToker Ke Ke )@keepingup-withkeke) argued that she was open to different styles of relationships, including open relationships and casual relationships, as long as both people are keeping it real.

So when the guy she was seeing long-distance stated that he wanted to be in a committed relationship with her and move in with her, only to date other women behind her back while she was out of town, Ke Ke questioned what the point of lying even was.

You can watch the video here:

"This is how dumb men are. They leave it [receipts or evidence] right there on the counter."
"It's crazy, because I would never think, 'Oh, let me look at the receipts on this counter.' No, when you think you're looking for sh*t, you think you're going to look through their phone or their social media. But it literally be right here, in our faces."
"I've been here all weekend. They've been on the counter this whole time, with all this other stuff. They've been right here, just in my face, chilling."
"The Universe really be sending us sh*t. Right in front of my face, and something just told me, 'Let me just look through these receipts real quick.' Bro."

Replying to @Shay💓 The universe will send it straight to you. Long story short, always trust your intuition 🙃 #fyp #dating #storytime

Ke Ke went on to share a three-part story time of making the discovery and how her ex-boyfriend responded to her accusations of cheating.

The TikToker had been dating her boyfriend for a few months after meeting him in Tampa while visiting her family. They started a long-term relationship after December, which resulted in a five- to six-month long-distance relationship.

They made it clear that they would not be dating other people while together so they could focus their energy on each other.

Ke Ke also noted when they first started talking that her future boyfriend was "love bombing" her because she was a "whole other league of women" than the women he had dated in the past. She told him to "slow his roll" and stated that his infatuation with her and the relationship would start to wane around three months into the relationship.

As it turned out, the TikToker wasn't too far off in her calculations.

The TikToker held to her estimate that her boyfriend's fascination with her would fade around three months, and stated that things started to change in March, which was between three and four months into talking to each other.

Up to that point, her boyfriend had been flying her back and forth to Tampa, taking her on dates, and doing the whole long-distance relationship thing.

In March, when the pair decided to take the next step, move in together, and have a relationship in Tampa, the boyfriend quickly turned around and said that they were rushing into things and shouldn't switch from being long-distance yet and essentially ended the relationship.

In response, Ke Ke went out for St. Patrick's Day weekend and then posted a viral TikTok video of all the men she'd dated in her life, except the most recent one, including clips of her partying all St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Jealous, the boyfriend wanted to get back together and start working on moving in together in Tampa.

The TikToker was no longer sure if the relationship was the direction she should go in, or if she should move forward with plans to move to Phoenix instead like she'd planned before meeting him. Right after she started questioning the relationship, she found the receipts, giving her the sign she'd been looking for.

After finding the receipts, the TikToker was furious but did not want her Tampa vacation to be ruined, so instead of confronting her boyfriend right away, she went and laid out by the pool instead.

She enjoyed her vacation and went on a few dates, and right before going home, she confronted her boyfriend about the receipts.

While he did not lie about the receipts, he said that the lunch dates were not serious and that he was not interested in the women he'd taken out to lunch. However, he had been in contact with his ex-girlfriend multiple times throughout the relationship.

But the TIkToker was feeling fine, refused to be stressed about men's behaviors, and decided to move to Phoenix instead.

Ke Ke totally agreed: what's the point of lying?

"Like, why are we lying to each other? It could all be so simple."
@keepingup.withkeke

Like, why are we lying to eachother? 😭 It could all be so simple #fyp #relationships #toxic #relatable

Two key factors of a successful relationship are good communication and honesty, and it was clear that this relationship had neither one until the very end. While Ke Ke's ex wanted her to think that he was committed and wanted to go the distance with her, it was clear that he realistically had other plans.

Ironically, if he had been honest about that from the beginning, he might still get to see her from time to time.
