During a 2018 round table, then-Florida AG Pam Bondi told Donald Trump about Florida's plan to implement a "gun violence restraining order," and MAGA isn't happy.

MAGA fans are angry after a video of Attorney General Pam Bondi telling President Donald Trump about Florida's plan to implement a "gun violence restraining order" resurfaced.

Bondi, a longtime close Trump ally, served as Florida’s attorney general when the 2018 Parkland school shooting claimed the lives of 17 students and staff. Following the tragedy, she implemented a ban on gun sales to individuals under 21 and introduced a red flag law, enabling law enforcement to request a judge’s approval to temporarily remove firearms from those considered a danger to themselves or others.

At the time, Trump, then in his first administration, invited Bondi to the White House to discuss potential solutions and Bondi said:

“I’ve had my solicitor general on it for three days now working on it. We’ve been rewriting it, and we’re going to bring in something called the gun violence restraining order. ... What we want to do is let law enforcement come in and take the guns."
"Without being adjudicated, they are a danger to themselves ... We also have to give the mentally ill due process. What we're going to do is take the guns when they're taken into custody or into the hospital and then when they're released in 24 hours or 72 hours to determine whether they should give those guns back."
"Or they can go to a judge and say, "Your honor, please keep these guns. We feel this person is still a danger to themselves or others."

You can hear what she said in the video below.

In a follow-up interview with Fox News, she went further:

"$450 million will go to securing our school, making our schools a much safer place physically. The buildings, infrastructure, making them stronger, making the door secure, bulletproof windows. Also, adding school resource officers."
"We have schools that don’t even have school resource officers per school, so now for every 1,000 students, there will be at least one resource school officer armed on campus. Not only that, we are raising the age to buy a rifle to 21, which is consistent with buying a handgun in the state of Florida."
"Also, gun violence restraining order, which is something that I have been working on a detailed to ensure its constitutionality and due process."

The clip quickly went viral on X:

And MAGA was not happy.

Bondi’s actions created distrust among hardline Second Amendment supporters and organizations such as the National Rifle Association (NRA), Gun Owners of America, and the National Association of Gun Rights, all of whom argue that her measures violate their rights.

Despite warnings from gun rights organizations ahead of her Senate confirmation hearing, Republican senators avoided questioning Bondi on gun control or her policies following the Parkland shooting.

The only question on firearms came from California Democratic Senator Alex Padilla, who asked if she would support measures like universal background checks and a national red flag law. Bondi replied, “I would be glad to meet with you and review any legislation that you have, senator.” Padilla ultimately voted against advancing her nomination to the full Senate.

Trump Voter Gets Brutal Reality Check After Comparing 2024 And 2025 Grocery Bills

MAGA Republican President Donald Trump promised to lower grocery prices "on day one" if he got elected. Instead, consumer prices have continued to rise and have been exasperated by Taco Trump's tariff waffling.

In September, National Public Radio (NPR) reported that August 2025 saw the "biggest jump in grocery prices in almost three years." The prior jump was during the pandemic.

Rainbow Bridge Honoring Kids' Beloved Late Pets Gets Cruelly Vandalized—And Everyone Has The Same Thought

"The rainbow bridge" is a euphemism for where deceased pets go after they pass, and people have called it that for decades now.

But when you're an anti-LGBTQ+ bigot, everything looks like a threat to your bizarre obsession with gender roles and people's personal lives. And sadly, it seems "the rainbow bridge" is no exception.

Gavin Newsom Hilariously Dunks On Trump For Hosting The Kennedy Center Honors

California Governor Gavin Newsom trolled President Donald Trump by sharing an AI-generated photo of himself accepting the inaugural—and not real—"Kennedy Center peace prize" from Trump.

The photo accompanied a post in which Newsom mocked not just Trump but also Ric Grenell, the Kennedy Center's president, whom Newsom referred to as a "janitor" in a post that—like many of Newsom's past posts—is written in a style not unlike the rants Trump publishes on Truth Social.
