Boebert Blames Barbra Streisand And Ryan Reynolds For Making Her Run In Another District

Lauren Boebert told Steve Bannon that she was running in another district because 'Hollywood elites' were donating to her opponent Adam Frisch.

Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert recently revealed why she was forced to change congressional districts for the 2024 election.

On December 27, Boebert announced she would run for office in Colorado congressional district 4 (CO-4) instead of where she currently serves—district 3 (CO-3).

As one might guess, it's all Barbra Streisand's and Ryan Reynolds' fault.

In an appearance on pardoned former Trump advisor Steve Bannon's podcast, Boebert said:

"We have to shut down the Hollywood elites who are trying to buy my current district. There has been close to $10 million poured into this district to buy this seat."
"Colorado's 3rd District is not for sale. But with my announcement running in the 4th District, that shut down the dark money that was flowing into our district."

Once again painting herself as the victim, Boebert added:

"They do not have policies they are running on [in CO-3], they are simply running against Lauren Boebert. It's not just Aspen that the money is coming from, it's coming from Hollywood."
"When you have Barbra Streisand donating to the Democrat, when you have Ryan Reynolds donating to the Democrat, it shows you that Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress."

You can watch her comments on her efforts to remain in Congress by swapping constituencies here:

People weren't buying Boebert's excuse for switching to a heavily Republican district for 2024.

Boebert barely won her current district in 2022 with her popularity dropping drastically from 2020.

This isn’t the first time Boebert tried to name-drop to gain attention.

In November, she asked for money by claiming the two stars were working against her.

She posted on X:

"My opponent has plenty of funding from Soros dark money and even Hollywood liberals like Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds."

Despite Boebert's claims, Streisand hadn't donated to Democrat Adam Frisch’s campaign in 2023 or 2024 as of this writing.

Reynolds donated just $500 in March and an additional $1,000 in May according to records from the Federal Election Commission.

Dave Coulier Reveals New Cancer Diagnosis Just Months After Beating Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

Fans of Full House and of Dave Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone on the show, have been on a roller coaster in the past year, following Coulier along on his cancer treatment journey after he revealed that he'd been diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma and later deemed cancer-free.

Now, unfortunately, the journey continues, as Coulier revealed during an interview with TODAY after Thanksgiving weekend that just seven months after being declared cancer-free, he's since been diagnosed with a "P16 squamous carcinoma," which is a form of cancer that concentrates in the head and neck, and in Coulier's case, in his tongue.

For those interested in words and/or pop culture, one of the big moments is when Oxford University Press releases their Word of the Year.

Lilly Wachowski Shares How She Had To 'Let Go' Of 'The Matrix' After It Was Twisted By Right-Wing Theories

Matrix co-creator Lilly Wachowski has opened up about what it's been like to see her magnum opus The Matrix be co-opted by the far-right.

Anywhere you go in online spaces for the past 10-15 years, right-wing weirdos talk about being "red-pilled," a reference to the film's plot point in which lead character Neo is offered a red pill that will enlighten him to the realities of the systems ruling our lives, or a blue pill that will allow him to stay ignorant.

'Franklin The Turtle' Publisher Condemns Pete Hegseth For Turning Beloved Character Into Violent Meme

Kids Can Press, the Canadian publisher behind the beloved Franklin children's books, condemned Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a statement after he shared an AI-generated image of Franklin the Turtle to justify his attacks on alleged drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean.

Hegseth's original meme, which he inexplicably captioned "for your Christmas wish list," features a doctored book cover titled Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists and shows Franklin, the protagonist of the popular Canadian children's book series authored by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, firing a bazooka from a helicopter at boats in the water below.
