Reddit user akinafleetfoot asked: 'What’s the worst company gift you’ve ever received?'

It's nice when your boss or employer shows their appreciation for your work and commitment with a gift.

Particularly if that gift is a sizable bonus.

Of course, receiving something other than cash can be nice as well.

Most of the time.

Every so often, be it for the holidays, your birthday, or retirement, people have received presents which have left them literally speechless.

And not in a good way.

Redditor akinafleetfoot was eager to hear about the worst presents someone has ever received from a boss or employer, leading them to ask:

"What’s the worst company gift you’ve ever received?"

"We were told to claim our meal on our expense forms."

"But our boss hadn't cleared it with his boss so all our claims were rejected."

"So my wife and I went to a nice restaurant, had to pay for both of our meals, and had to hang out with our boss while doing it."

"This was a twice-a-year date night type restaurant, so we wasted one of our date nights with coworkers."

"I've been thinking that it is possible this manager did this on purpose."

"The other thing he did is tell a few of us that we had been working so hard and putting in so much unpaid overtime (we were salaried) that he'd take three of us golfing for the afternoon."

"By the end of the round, he said we should all probably use a half day of our holidays on our monthly time sheet."- cisco55

Stephen Colbert Rips CBS For Banning Interview With Texas Democrat Due To FCC Threat

Late-night host Stephen Colbert criticized CBS for attempting to ban him from interviewing Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, and from even mentioning the interview on air, due to threats from Brendan Carr, the chair of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Talarico, who represents Texas in the state House, has previously made headlines for calling out Texas Republicans for "trying to force public schools" to display the Ten Commandments and has generated significant buzz as a forceful voice for Democrats in a state largely in the hands of the GOP.

'Wall Street Journal' Ripped After Saying Millennials And Gen Zers Are 'Splurging' On 'Rotisserie Chickens' Instead Of Buying Homes

It's sadly all too common for older generations to look down on millennials and criticize their constant complaining about how "hard" life is and how they can't afford to be homeowners.

That criticism almost always ignores factors like the rising cost of housing, increasingly low salaries, and a continuous housing shortage.

Trump Roasted After Making Bonkers Comparison Between Gas Prices In Iowa And California

President Donald Trump was widely mocked for making a nonsensical comparison between gas prices in Iowa versus California during a ceremony at the White House in which he was given an award for being the "undisputed champion of beautiful clean coal."

Trump's recognition reportedly came from the Washington Coal Club, a pro-coal advocacy organization with financial links to the sector. The award was presented by James Grech, chief executive of Peabody Energy, the nation’s largest coal producer. The bronze trophy depicts a miner equipped with a headlamp and pickaxe.
