A white lawyer from Wisconsin is in hot water after several acts of aggression, including spitting on a black teenager, blocking traffic at a protest with her car, shoving a college student, and kicking an arresting officer in the groin.

Stephanie Rapkin, 64, was shown at an anti-racism rally in Shorewood on Saturday, June 6th blocking the protest's foot traffic with her car and spitting on 17-year-old Eric Patrick Lucas III, a black high-schooler who was one of the organizers of the protest.

Rapkin was arrested and charged with battery and disorderly conduct.

After being released on bail, she confronted Debra Brehmer and her son Joe Friedman, who had been writing protest messages in chalk outside of her home.

She then assaulted Friedman on camera.

After this incident, Rapkin was arrested again. While being arrested, authorities say she kicked the arresting officer in the groin.

The police are pressing charges of battery, disorderly conduct, battery to a law enforcement officer and resisting/obstructing an officer.

In addition to the criminal charges, an election law attorney in Shorewood has filed a complaint with the state, calling for an investigation into Rapkin for professional misconduct.

Folks across the internet are calling for harsher punishments for Rapkin, including disbarrment.

Shorewood schools chief Bryan Davis believes the current charges leveed against Rapkin are not enough. He called for Rapkin to be charged with a hate crim because her actions were "racial hatred aimed at disrupting a peaceful demonstration."

"If we, as Milwaukee County, are going to treat racism as the crisis it is, we must make sure that law enforcement and our criminal justice system look at these types of incidents through a racially motivated lens."

The police and Milwaukee County DA have not responded to the request for more serious charges, and Ms. Rapkin remains a member of the Bar Association for now.

But if the past two weeks are any indication, she won't be getting off as easily as she seems to be right now.
