Whoopi Goldberg Yells At Meghan McCain To 'Please Stop Talking' After Heated Impeachment Exchange On 'The View'

Whoopi Goldberg Yells At Meghan McCain To 'Please Stop Talking' After Heated Impeachment Exchange On 'The View'
The View/ABC

Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst for ABC News as well as co-host on The View Sunny Hostin's remarks about the impeachment of President Donald Trump in contrast to the impeachment of President Bill Clinton set off another heated exchange between co-host Meghan McCain and Whoopi Goldberg.

Hostin stated:

"You had so many Senators that voted [during the Clinton impeachment trial] to not only impeach but also convict President Clinton for, yes, perjuring himself. Many of those same people are still in the Senate."
"I cannot believe they would vote to impeach and convict a sitting President for perjuring himself and they would not vote to convict a President, and remove a President, who clearly wanted to use a foreign government for his own personal benefit to impede our very democracy."

Hostin added:

"That is the height of hypocrisy for this Republican-led Senate. I don't understand it."

Meghan McCain interjected:

"My job here is not to litigate the ethics of it. I'm an ABC political analyst along with being a 'View' co-host, my job is to analyze the politics of it. And I'm telling you the politics —"

Hostin responded:

"But I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about people that are the Senators —"

McCain interrupted again to say:

"Just let me finish. I let you talk. Just let me finish."

As the two continued to talk over each other, Goldberg cut in to try to steer the conversation back on track. In response, McCain asked whether people wanted to hear a conservative perspective "on the show ever."

Goldberg replied:

"Girl, please stop talking. Please stop talking right now."

McCain, in an apparent pout, replied:

"No problem. I won't talk for the rest of the show."

But rather than make nice with the frequently disruptive McCain, Goldberg responded:

"I'm OK with that, if you're going to behave like this."

McCain continued talking despite vowing to stop speaking however.

Senator McCain's daughter said:

"I'm not behaving like anything. I'm trying to show conservative perspective."

Goldberg then called for a commercial break.

Video of the exchange quickly went out on social media where McCain found few, if any, supporters.

And someone with a parody account with an interesting account name—GhostofJohnMcCain—weighed in.

Others speculated about the live audience.

Whether the relationship between the hosts of The View will improve or worsen remains to be seen.

MAGA Fan Has Unhinged Meltdown After Starbucks Barista Doesn't Call Out 'Charlie Kirk' With Her Order

For anyone who isn't familiar with Starbucks ordering protocol, the cashier will ask for a name to put on the cup.

When the order is done, the barista will call out the name on the cup to let the customer know their order is ready. However, if there aren't many people in the store, it's not uncommon for a person to just have their drink handed to them or brought to their table if they're seated.

Melania Trump Dragged After Sharing Bizarre AI 'Teleportation' Video

The video was first shared by the X account @MelaniaMeme. In it, the digital Mrs. Trump appears to teleport into a high-rise—likely Trump Tower—with a glittering cityscape in the background. She steps forward, looks directly into the camera, glances down, then back up again, without uttering a word.

Bad Bunny Hilariously Trolls Fox News Over Their Super Bowl Outrage In 'SNL' Season Opener

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny took aim at Fox News and the conservative outrage over his upcoming Super Bowl halftime show during the season 51 premiere of Saturday Night Live over the weekend, joking that all of his critics have "four months to learn" Spanish if they're that bothered about him singing in his native tongue during football's biggest night.

Bad Bunny will be the first Latin male artist to headline the halftime show, but many of President Donald Trump's supporters have vowed to boycott the event. At least one far-right figure said Bad Bunny "will just further divide the American people" and suggested that either the right-wing performers Kid Rock or Jason Aldean should headline the show instead.
