Uber driver and TikToker @voycebutler2 shared how the app randomly reunited him with his older brother who was lost to the foster care system when they were both kids.

For many children in the foster care system, the possibility of being split up and not knowing what happened to your long-lost siblings often ends up being heartbreaking reality.

So when the universe steps in to reunite a family, it can be a truly emotional surprise.

While driving for Uber to make some extra money, TikToker @voycebutler2 intended to pick up one more ride for the night before going home.

He noted that his last passenger's name was "Jaylin" and was taken aback for a moment. His older brother, Jaylen, had been taken and put into foster care when the TikToker was seven and Jaylen was nine. He decided to think nothing more of the similarity and went to pick up the customer.

As they were driving toward their destination, the passenger noted how he had not been in this part of the neighborhood for years and pointed out a street name that was very familiar to the Uber driver.

But then the passenger said that he hadn't been back there since he was put into foster care when he was nine, and the TikToker had to start asking questions, to see if the similarities were real or a coincidence.

He asked the passenger his mother's name, which was the same as his own. Then he asked if he still had a scar from when they played as children, which was when Jaylen caught on and asked if the TikToker's name was Peter.

It was then that the two realized that they were long-lost brothers, separated by the foster care system. Heartbreakingly, Jaylen thought that something had happened to Peter the TikToker, because he'd been unable to find him when he turned 18 and started to look for him.

By accepting one more Uber ride that night, and by choosing to use the service that night, the two men's lives may have been forever changed.

TikToker @voycebutler2 said that he and his brother intended to meet the following day, to have lunch, and to catch up about each other's lives.

Since they're now both grown men, they'll likely have a lot of lunches to come with no shortage of memories to talk about and their lives to catch up on.

Dr. Oz Slammed After His 'Credit Card' Health Care Analogy Goes Completely Off The Rails

Snake oil salesman Dr. Mehmet Oz—now the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services—was criticized after he tried to discuss U.S. health insurance providers' pledge to speed up the prior authorization process by oddly comparing it to a "credit card," underscoring just how much he doesn't understand the job he currently holds.

Earlier this week, major U.S. health insurers—including Cigna, Aetna, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare—announced a set of reforms aimed at simplifying the often frustrating prior authorization process for patients and providers.

Jon Ossoff Lays Into Project 2025 Architect For Trying To Gut The CDC In Fiery Takedown

Georgia Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff criticized Project 2025 architect and current Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought during a Senate appropriations hearing for the Trump administration's austere spending cuts that are currently focused on slashing the budget and workforce of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Ossoff pressed Russell Vought on the administration’s decision to cut the agency’s budget by nearly half and on the loss of roughly 25% of its workforce.

Jasmine Crockett Calls Out Trump's Hypocrisy By Pointing Out How Melania Got Her Visa

Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett pointed out President Donald Trump's hypocrisy on immigration considering how First Lady Melania Trump's pathway to citizenship was possible because she received an "Einstein visa," which is usually reserved for an individual with "some sort of significant achievement."

Speaking during a House Judiciary Committee hearing titled “Restoring Integrity and Security to the Visa Process,” Crockett noted that “the idea that Trump and my Republican colleagues want to restore integrity and security in the visa process is actually a joke," and harshly criticized the Trump administration's immigration crackdown and visa restrictions.

Fox Host Comes To Reporter's Defense After Pete Hegseth Berates Her At Pentagon Briefing

Fox News' chief political analyst Brit Hume came to the defense of Fox national security reporter Jennifer Griffin after their former colleague, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, criticized Griffin as the reporter "who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says” in a Pentagon news conference.

Hegseth, a former Fox News anchor, had criticized media outlets—including his former network—for what he described as unpatriotic reporting. Hegseth took particular aim at early intelligence assessments suggesting that President Donald Trump's bombing of Iran may not have significantly crippled Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
