TikToker Floored By Instacart Customer's Absurd List Of Instructions For Their Grocery Order

TikToker Floored By Instacart Customer's Absurd List Of Instructions For Their Grocery Order

Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, people have been relying more and more on third party apps and services to provide basic deliveries and necessities to their home.

Instacart, one such app, hires a person to go to the grocery store and shop for you so that you don't have to leave the house yourself. All they ask is that you provide a detailed list of goods, along with some backups, in case the store doesn't have what you need.

But some people clearly take this too far.

TikToker @_instaqueen_ saw an order hanging around the Instacart app with a very large set of rules and restrictions and decided to take a look. Once she did look closer, she was blown away.

The first item on the list was already shocking enough:

"Please send me a photo of your insulated cooling bags in your shopping cart IMMEDIATELY before shopping otherwise I will call Instacart promptly and cancel this order to reschedule with a different shopper."

The person also outright refused "batch shoppers" because they said their groceries have spoiled while the instacart person was shopping for more than one person at once.

The person then wanted the shopper to be readily available for all shopping and bagging instructions.

"After you send the insulated cooling bags photo, please respond to my messages promptly while shopping and follow my shopping/bagging/delivery instructions per item, especially if I have chicken, meats, and milk in my order."
"Please make sure after checkout that my items are bagged properly per my instructions since the grocery bagger won't know what they are. Too many times other items have been bagged in with the raw meat/chicken, plus I've had bagging issues with other foods."

The instructions ended up being too long for the video, but a section ahead reveals that, among other things, this customer had severe food allergies and was putting them in the hands of a stranger.

All in all, most users thought this person needed to either hire someone very specific to always take care of their shopping, or else do the shopping themselves.
