The top of the document read, "This is not a bill," indicating the paperwork was meant as an explanation of medical charges for the presumably insured patient, and not a bill.

Before scrolling through the itemized list, the text appearing on the video read, "4 months in a USA hospital with [the virus]," before revealing the total cost, which came to $2,850,776.10.

The list included respiratory therapy for $550,000, intensive care stay for $324,349.00, and more than $404,000 for intermediate ICU.

Many international TikTokers assumed the patient was responsible for actually paying the bill and commented on seeing an example of exorbitant healthcare in America.

"Honestly, this should be an advertisement for insurance."

The TikToker promised a part 2 showing the total after insurance would be posted on their page soon.

But so far, there has been no update.
