As if.

Actress and conservative pundit Stacey Dash has filed paperwork to run for Congress in California.

Dash, known for her roles in movies like Clueless, Moving, Mo' Money, Renaissance Man, and View From The Top is seeking the Republican nomination for California's 44th congressional district.

Dash worked as a Fox News contributor for three years but was fired for using a curse word on the air about President Obama. "I didn't feel any passion from him," Dash said. "I feel like he could give a sh*t, excuse me, he could care less."

In one interview on Fox & Friends in January 2016, "she said she did not believe Black History Month or BET should exist," the New York Times reported. "We have to make up our minds," Dash said. "Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you're only awarded if you're black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It's a double standard."

Dash voted for Barack Obama in 2008, but switched parties in 2012 to support Mitt Romney.

California 44, which covers Compton, Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach, is a heavily democratic district. It's current representative, Nanette Barragan (D-San Pedro), was elected in 2016.

Dash, 51, faces an uphill battle in her bid to get elected. Democrat Hillary Clinton won 83 percent of the vote in California's 44th congressional district in 2016, and Barragan carried it by 5 points.

Twitter thinks her candidacy is hilarious.

"Oh Stacey..."

Republicans love to call Democrats the party of Hollywood, but who's laughing now?

"Ha! Excellent," wrote Speculawyer American. "Who's the party of Hollywood know-nothings now?"

Dash was quickly equated with President Donald Trump, who before getting elected president, was a reality TV star.

"Just because someone can read a script and act a part does NOT qualify them for politics," quipped Lisa. "Example: Donald Trump.

The cynicism grew, as only the Internet can deliver.

I meanshe was the Clueless actress, which Paul Rabin describes as "quite apt." Given her comments about Obama, he's probably not too far off.

Same.

Hayden Black hopes Dash "keeps running. And running. And running. And running..."

In today's crazy political climate, however, anything is possible. Democrats need to show up and vote if they want to hold on to this seat.
