Serena Williams' Trick For Staying Hydrated Has Gone Viral For A Completely Different Life Hack

Fans couldn't help but notice how the tennis legend took bottles of Gatorade out of the plastic packaging.

Ever felt yourself struggling to do a simple task and think there's got to be an easier way?

Like taking a bottle of Gatorade out of the plastic ring holder, an endeavor that soon becomes an Olympic sport itself?

Turns out we've been doing it wrong.

Gatorade spokesperson Serena Williams recently posted a video on TikTok that was "not an ad" but did show her dumping several bottles of lemon-lime Gatorade into a giant water bottle filled with ice. While some people were newly converted to the drink she made, most people were fascinated with how easily she got the Gatorade out of the plastic rings.

Not the intention, but many learned a lesson and a life hack. The life hack here being how to use the packaging as intended and not just engaging in a strength contest with plastic.

You can see Williams' video here:

Woke up feeling dehydrated not an ad just truth @Gatorade #relatable

Many comments were actually about the intended content of the video—Williams' love of lemon-lime Gatorade.

But then the comments veered off track into the inadvertent lesson everyone got in freeing the bottles from the plastic rings.

Others were questioning life-long assumptions.

It's never too late to learn a new thing.

Many thanked Williams for the lesson.

@lalliiipop23/TikTok

Well, the most valuable lesson of the video, not the Gatorade-over-ice recipe.

Even athletes had apparently been wasting their energy on getting those bottles out of the plastic ring holder their entire life.

However, as one commenter put it, is it truly a life hack if you're just doing it the right way?

Maybe the next TikTok trend will just be celebrities doing basic tasks the correct way.

Nancy Sinatra Shuts Down MAGA Fan Who Claimed Her Famous Dad Would've Voted For Trump

It's no secret that MAGA Republican President Donald Trump hasn't been able to attract the cream of the crop when it comes to the entertainment industry. Dept. Of Energy Roasted After Posting Bonkers Light Switch Meme To Praise Trump

The U.S. Department of Energy was mocked online after it shared a photo of President Donald Trump signing executive orders next to an image of a hand turning a light switch on—a bizarre meme that had people scratching their heads wondering what in the world the department was aiming for.

The official X account posted the meme without a caption or a comment of any kind—just one of many posts in recent days lauding the Trump administration and particularly Secretary Chris Wright for ensuring that "energy equals freedom" and that the U.S. has entered a "golden age of liquid gold."
