Russian Pranksters Got Prince Harry To Open Up About Royal Family Drama By Tricking Him Into Thinking He Was Talking To Greta Thunberg

Apparently, Greta Thunberg was the untapped resource that would have gotten the job done and gave the world the scoop on why Harry and Meghan left the Royal family.

Or, at least a phony version of her.

Alas, she was busy hoisting the jibs on a transatlantic voyage to raise climate change awareness. Priorities.

Ever since it happened in early January 2020, "Megxit"—or Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to opt out of Royal Family duties—has aroused mountains of speculation and dramatic hubbub across the internet.

That said, since that initial announcement the couple has enjoyed a relatively quiet departure from the line of duty, despite the fact that Harry and Meghan's final official appearance in their capacities as "senior" members of the royal family didn't occur until this past Monday, March 8.

But leave it to two Russian dudes with a landline to stoke the coals again.

Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov have a history of using the time-tested method of prank phone calls to gather intimate confessions from famous people, ranging from Sir Elton John to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During the royal-aimed prank, "Vovan" and "Lexus," as the pair often go by, managed to convince Prince Harry that they were Greta Thunberg and Thunberg's father. The facade opened the pranksters up to some behind-the-curtain details about Megxit.

The video no longer appears on YouTube, though Britain's The Sun noted Prince Harry's responses.

Harry began by confirming that, indeed, he and Meghan were "completely separate" from the Royal Family at this point.

Harry continued with further details, which The Sun noted.

"I can assure you, marrying a Prince or Princess is not all it's made out to be!
"But sometimes the right decision isn't always the easy one. And this decision certainly wasn't the easy one but it was the right decision for our family, the right decision to be able to protect my son."
"And I think there's a hell of a lot of people around the world that can identify and respect us for putting our family first."

The pranksters also pressed Harry to assess the truthfulness of rumors that he and Meghan were stripped of their royal titles, a supposed act of retaliation on the part of Buckingham Palace.

"No, no, again you mustn't believe what you read, no one has stripped us of our titles."
"Because of a technicality within the family, if we are earning money separately from within the family structure, then we obviously have been asked not to use our titles in order to make money, which we would never do."
"But the press managed to jump on that to make it look like we had been stripped."

Twitter had plenty to say about Harry's position as a sitting duck.

And while Harry didn't spill anything too provocative, the thought of that possibility was certainly on people's minds.

After touching on the drama within the Royal Family, Harry went on to discuss his involvement in causes to alleviate the impacts of Climate Change.

Alas, the story here is the head-scratching awareness we all must have knowing that even the most powerful, well-secured people on the planet can still be duped right under the noses of their protectors.

Viral Photo Of Trump With Golden Sconce Behind Him Gives Fittingly Devilish Optical Illusion

President Donald Trump is perhaps the most polarizing man in the world, loved intensely by his core base and sympathizers, and downright unpopular and even hated by those who see him as a threat to democracy at home and abroad.

Trump is also perhaps the most photographed man on Planet Earth and a picture by Getty Images photographer Jim Watson captured the president in a Cabinet meeting on Thursday with a golden wall sconce perfectly placed behind his head to give him devil horns.
