Trans nonbinary runner Nikki Hiltz is headed to Paris, and fans couldn't be more thrilled.

Not only did Hiltz secure their place in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, they also set a U.S. Olympic Trials record.

The track star defended their title over the weekend, crushing the former trials record in the 1500 meters with an impressive time of 3 minutes, 55.33 seconds.

The previous U.S. Olympic Trials record, set in 2021, was 3:58.03.

The race came down to the final lap, with Hiltz finding a final burst in the home stretch to reel in the win and run the second-fastest time ever recorded by an American in the event.

You can watch the bell lap and Hiltz's final push below.

Hiltz took to Instagram to celebrate the incredible feat, writing in the caption:

" woke up an Olympian 🥹"
"Yesterday afternoon in Eugene Oregon a childhood dream of mine came true."
"I’m not sure when this will fully sink in… All I know is today I’m waking up just so grateful for my people, overwhelmed by all the love and support, and filled with joy that I get to race people I deeply love and respect around a track for a living 🙏"
"3:55.33 🤯 Olympic Trials Champion 🥇Olympian 🇫🇷"

Hiltz's partner, Emma Gee, also took to Instagram to mark the occasion, sharing a video of the race and writing:

"Y'all, they are headed to Paris."

Others soon joined in on the celebration, commending Hiltz on an unbelievable race and an Olympic spot well-deserved.

Hiltz came out as trans-nonbinary in 2021, writing in a post on Instagram:

"🏳️⚧️ COMING OUT 🏳️⚧️ as transgender, non-binary.•"
"Hi I’m Nikki and I’m transgender. That means I don’t identify with the gender I was assigned at birth."
"The word I use currently to describe my gender is non-binary. The best way I can explain my gender is as fluid."
"Sometimes I wake up feeling like a powerful queen and other days I wake up feeling as if I’m just a guy being a dude, and other times I identify outside of the gender binary entirely."

They continued:

"It’s complicated and complex and something I’m still trying to navigate myself, but I’ve decided it’s time to share my gender fluidity with you all. "
"Posting this is both exciting and terrifying but I am and always will be a firm believer that vulnerability and visibility are essential in creating social change and acceptance."
"So here I am, once again, coming out of a closet to be my true authentic self.•"
"Today I can be visible because of the many Trans folks who have paved the way for me."
"So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you and happy trans day of visibility to my beautiful and powerful trans family 🏳️⚧️💗"

Congrats on an amazing journey thus far. We can't wait to watch you in Paris!

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.

Musk Ripped After Explaining Why He's So Adamant About Colonizing Mars Right Now

Billionaire Elon Musk was widely mocked after explaining to Fox News personality Jesse Watters that he's set on colonizing Mars to ensure that human life continues once Earth is destroyed by the Sun—which is odd, because that eventually is billions of years away.

The Sun, our life-sustaining star, is essentially a massive nuclear reactor, continuously converting hydrogen into helium through fusion and radiating energy outward. But like all stars, it has a finite lifespan. Scientists estimate that the Sun will exhaust its core hydrogen supply in about five billion years, marking the beginning of the end of its stable life.
