Former 'Apprentice' contestant Summer Zervos was one of the women who came forward during the 2016 campaign to accuse Donald Trump of unwanted groping and kissing.
Now she is pursuing a defamation lawsuit against Donald Trump, after he dismissed her claims as lies.
"I've suffered terribly as a result of defendant's (Trump's) lies and attacks upon me," Zervios said.
Trump's legal team pursued a stay in this case until an appeals court decides whether they will dismiss the case or postpone it until after he has left the White House.
Today, the Supreme Court's appellate division based in New York City denied the stay and ruled Zervos's lawsuit may proceed.
Zervos is seeking a retraction, an apology and punitive damages from Trump. And her lawyers have subpoenaed video of her and Trump on The Apprentice.
The Internet cheered the news.
Of course, Donald Trump is famous for filing defamation lawsuits himself, whether it's against the media or author Timothy O'Brien. Between Zervos's suit and the Stormy Daniels defamation suit, it appears the shoe is on the other foot.
