Really?

After President Donald Trump made posts on Twitter telling Congresswomen of color to "go back where they came from," many people—including the women he targeted—responded with outrage over the White nationalist rhetoric in the President's tweets. But Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera took a different tactic by telling Trump he was better than his racist and xenophobic tweets.

"Sad to watch my friend [Donald Trump] take low road regarding [Democratic Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of the Bronx, [Rashida Tlaib] of Detroit, [Ayanna Pressley] of Boston & [Ilhan Omar] of Somalia & Minneapolis. Let’s stick to issues & steer clear of language that’s xenophobic even racist. POTUS you’re better than that."

But Rivera is finding few people who agree with his assessment.

People stated the President did the exact opposite of taking the high road at all times with many asking Rivera questions as well.

Many stated without qualifiers that the President is racist.

While others asked why the GOP was silent and only Rivera was speaking out for conservative circles.

President Trump responded to all the criticism by demanding an apology from the women he targeted with his controversial comments.

The National Book Award winner Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America is available here.

"Some Americans insist that we're living in a post-racial society. But racist thought is not just alive and well in America--it is more sophisticated and more insidious than ever."

Earlier this week, Trump made headlines for claiming "no one knows what magnets are" during an Oval Office exchange. He has also continued to attract attention for falling asleep during events.
