Welp, Donald Trump Just Lost Another Member of His Legal Team
Retiring White House Counsel Ty Cobb (CNN video)

Dropping like flies.

Ty Cobb joined the White House legal team under President Donald Trump on July 31, 2017. Now he’s announced his retirement.

Cobb's primary responsibility was to deal with the Office of Special Counsel regarding the Russia investigation. His replacement, Emmet Flood, represented President Bill Clinton during his impeachment.

Cobb came to the White House under the recommendation of the one time head of Trump's personal legal team, John Dowd. As part of the White House internal legal team, Cobb reported directly to President Trump.

“For several weeks Ty Cobb has been discussing his retirement and last week he let Chief of Staff Kelly know he would retire at the end of this month,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Wednesday.

Cobb said he accepted the White House assignment because "it was an impossible task with a deadline." He elaborated further that he had "rocks in his head and steel balls."

The White House counsel always claimed there was no reason to believe Trump was personally under investigation. He characterized the Trump team as being "in full cooperation mode" and "directed to fully cooperate and get this over with as quickly as possible."

If Flood officially comes on board, a more adversarial tone is expected. In addition to his work for President Clinton, Flood was a lead White House lawyer when George W. Bush dealt with congressional investigations during his second term.

MAGA Rages After Homeland Security Claims Hilton Canceled Hotel Reservations For ICE Agents

MAGA fans are furious after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) called out Hilton Hotels & Resorts on social media this week after the hotel chain allegedly canceled reservations for ICE agents at a location near Minneapolis.

DHS accused the hotel chain of launching a “coordinated campaign” to cancel reservations after ICE agents attempted to book rooms using government email addresses and discounted federal rates. The allegation surfaced as the Trump administration reportedly began deploying thousands of agents to the Minneapolis area.

'Will & Grace' Actor Brutally Drags Trump's Venezuela Takeover With Mock Regime Change In His Own Neighborhood

As the world now knows, on the morning of Saturday, January, 3, 2026, under the direction of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump and his Secretary of "War" Pete Hegseth, the United States military invaded the sovereign nation of Venezuela using 150 aircraft to abduct Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.

The nation, along with international allies and adversaries, have been weighing in on the action and the Trump administration's attempts to justify it. Trump, Hegseth, and their mouthpieces claim the uninvited intervention in another sovereign nation's internal affairs was about justice and drug trafficking while the international community and Trump's opposition in the U.S. say it was about oil.
