Mom Sparks Debate After Explaining Why She's Only Getting One Of Her Kids Christmas Presents

TikToker @tiffanychesson explained why she'd be skipping the presents for her infant, remarking how there's 'no point' in buying gifts for a child that young.

This time of year, it's important to realize that people celebrate Christmas in a variety of ways.

You may find out, for example, that your new in-laws open presents in a frenzy rather than a calm and organized fashion. And that's okay!

One TikToker, @tiffanychesson, recently ignited controversy when she said she was opting not to buy presents for her new baby.

Her baby will be only a few months old on Christmas, and will be too young to understand what's going on, the TikToker explained. When he hits his second Christmas, she’ll give him presents, but not this year.

She said she doesn’t mind if friends and family buy him presents, but she just doesn’t see the point.

@tiffanychesson

Idk if this is normal or not, im sure the comments will soon roll in if it turns out im the worlds worst mum for refusing to get my baby anything for her first christmas but shes too young to want anything and already has everything she needs so im not damaging my bank account by trying to keep up with the joneses and buy her loads lf stuff she doesnt need 🤷🏼‍♀️ #babysfirstchristmas #firstchristmas #newbaby #newborn #christmas #christmasgifts #christmaspresents #deinfluencing #babyessentials #giftguide #controversial #mumsoftiktok #motherhood #parenting #mumof2

Most replies to her decision were in support, not anger. Other moms immediately agreed with her plan.

The older sibling will receive plenty of presents. Next year, so will the baby!

Kari Lake Slammed After Warning Parents Not To Send Their Kids To College After Charlie Kirk Murder

Speaking during a memorial service for far-right activist Charlie Kirk at the Kennedy Center, failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake—now the Trump administration's Senior Advisor for the U.S. Agency for Global Media—called U.S. colleges “indoctrination camps” and urged parents not to send their children.

Lake ignored the fact that Kirk was killed while speaking at a college, in this case Utah Valley University (UVU), the largest university by enrollment in Utah.

Vance Claims Kirk Never Insulted Black Women's 'Brain Processing Power'—And Here Come The Receipts

Vice President JD Vance served as host of the late far-right activist Charlie Kirk's podcast this week and was called out after claiming Kirk "never uttered" words about the "brain processing power" of Black women—even though Kirk said as much in 2023.

Vance made the claim after Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah—a Black woman—said she was dismissed from the paper following social media posts on gun control and race after Kirk’s assassination.

Trump Swiftly Fact-Checked After Making Bonkers Claim About How Many Americans Died From Drugs Last Year

President Donald Trump was criticized after attempting to justify the bombing of a suspected Venezuelan drug boat by asserting that 300 million people died from drugs last year.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Trump was asked about the order he gave earlier this month to destroy a boat he suspected of transporting drugs off the coast of Venezuela, rather than simply intercepting it. All 11 people on board the boat were killed.
