Sneaking in, out, and around one's parents' house was probably something everyone did growing up, but left behind them when they grew up and/or moved out.

Or...not, if you still live with your mother.

This was the case with one woman, TikToker @carley_weaver1, who was caught red-handed trying to sneak her date into the house.

How was she caught in the act, you ask?

The notorious doorbell camera struck again.

As Carley Weaver was attempting to sneak her date into the house, she thought she'd deactivated the doorbell camera...only to find, much to her chagrin, how wrong she was.

“Do you have someone here?” was the first text she received from her mother.

More texts rolled in, with our original poster (or OP's) mom giving her a good ribbing.

“Hello missy... are you not awake yet??? How about your bed partner???”

Eventually, OP realized she'd been caught.

Weaver, in other videos, specified just how close she was with her mom.

One particularly moving video of her and her mother's relationship can reassure us this interaction is all in good fun, albeit a few raised eyebrows.

To drive that point home, OP commented:

“My mom and I are besties, she laughed when I told her the story. She was just caught off guard.”

An important lesson can be gleaned from this moment.

NEVER assume that the cameras are off.

And up your stealth game...lest you be caught by your mother, red-handed.
