Travis Kelce Reacts After Joke Comparing His Home Run Contest Win To Taylor Swift's Achievements

After sports podcaster Mike Golic Jr. pointed out that the NFL star's recent celebrity home run derby win wouldn't 'register on the Richter scale' compared to girlfriend Taylor Swift's achievements, Kelce weighed in to hilariously agree.

It's pretty adorable to see Travis Kelce always have Taylor Swift's back...even when it's at his own expense.

It has to be at least a little daunting that even his greatest achievements—you know, like winning the Super Bowl—are overshadowed by his girlfriend's world domination, but the Kansas City tight doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

His latest feat was once again compared to Swift's massive accomplishments—and the three-time Super Bowl champ took it all in stride.

Last Saturday, Kelce won the home run derby at Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku's celebrity softball event at Classic Auto Group Park, hitting 11 homers to take the trophy.

You can watch his final swing and subsequent celebration below.

Judging by his celebratory bat toss and jumping about, we'd say he was pretty elated—but sports podcaster Mike Golic, Jr. took him down a peg or two after he said most of Kelce's undertakings wouldn't even "register on the Richter scale" compared to Swift's.

Golic And GoJo were talking about the NFL star's home run derby win when Golic, Jr. chimed in:

“The only thing I can come back to with all of this — because it’s great, and Travis Kelce is a legitimate athlete that could have probably had success in a bunch of different sports at a high level — is how difficult it is to register on the Richter scale in the house that he’s now a part of with Taylor Swift.”

He continued, joking about what their next conversation might entail.

“It’s like, ‘Babe, what did you do this weekend?'”
“‘Well, I stimulated the global economy, I went to a new city and enriched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.'"
"'Babe, what did you do?’ ‘I cracked eleven dingers in a celebrity softball game! Feeling pretty great about this one, babe.'"
"'Thanks for asking.'”

It wasn't long before word got around to Kelce who commented on the video.

But don't worry, he had a laugh, as well, tweeting:

"😂😂😂😂😂 Love listening to these guys! 'Feeling pretty good about it, babe'"

Golic, Jr. was one of the first to respond, writing:

"😂appreciate you boss! that bat flip was a 10/10, too. you both put on a hell of a show this weekend."

And others on social media expressed their delight that Kelce had such a great sense of humor about it all.

Several also assured Kelce that both he and Swift have plenty to be proud of.

And we'd have to agree.

They both have an incredibly stacked résumé!

Rainbow Bridge Honoring Kids' Beloved Late Pets Gets Cruelly Vandalized—And Everyone Has The Same Thought

"The rainbow bridge" is a euphemism for where deceased pets go after they pass, and people have called it that for decades now.

But when you're an anti-LGBTQ+ bigot, everything looks like a threat to your bizarre obsession with gender roles and people's personal lives. And sadly, it seems "the rainbow bridge" is no exception.

Gavin Newsom Hilariously Dunks On Trump For Hosting The Kennedy Center Honors

California Governor Gavin Newsom trolled President Donald Trump by sharing an AI-generated photo of himself accepting the inaugural—and not real—"Kennedy Center peace prize" from Trump.

The photo accompanied a post in which Newsom mocked not just Trump but also Ric Grenell, the Kennedy Center's president, whom Newsom referred to as a "janitor" in a post that—like many of Newsom's past posts—is written in a style not unlike the rants Trump publishes on Truth Social.
