Woman Says She Threatened Kamala Harris' Life For Putting Her Hand On Her 'Purse' Instead Of Bible

The Secret Service visited a Florida woman who sent videos to her incarcerated husband indicating she was going to assassinate Vice President Kamala Harris.

Niviane Petit Phelps of Miami Gardens allegedly said in one video:

"If I see you in the street, I'm gonna kill your a** Kamala Harris."

"I'm going to the gun range, just for your a**," she said in another video.

Photographs intercepted by prison authorities also showed a smiling Phelps posing with a pistol at a shooting range and standing next to a target riddled with bullet holes.

According to a court complaint, Phelps told the Secret Service in an interview she was upset because she wasn't convinced Harris was "actually Black."

She also falsely claimed VP Harris "disrespectfully put her hand on her clutch purse instead of the Bible" during the inauguration.

The court complaint noted Phelps said in another video, dated February 18, 2021:

"50 days from today, mark this day down, stupid bitch, Kamala f'kin' Harris Vice President. You gonna f'kin' die 50 days from today, I swear to f'kin' God."

The Secret Service visited her home less than two weeks after she applied for a concealed carry permit dated February 22, but she refused to speak with them.

Two days later, Phelps contact them and agreed to an interview.

The Special Agent said Phelps claimed she was "past it" and had no intention of going to D.C. to carry out her assassination plot.

Her statement was not good enough for Twitter.

When Phelps's daughter interjected, "Didn't you say we were going," she immediately responded, "No, we're not going."

A few people claimed online Kamala Harris' oath was invalidated because she placed her hand on a purse or a glove instead of the Bible while being sworn in on January 20.

It is a false claim.

Social media comments included, "Let me swear on my handbag instead of the Bible!" and "She couldn't even bring herself to touch that Bible. Her hands not on it. Look closely."

However, other angles from the ceremony showed her hand was clearly resting on one of the two bibles she used when being sworn in as Vice President.

It is speculated the confusion may have stemmed from people mistaking the zipper from one of the bibles enclosed in a black leather case as part of a purse.

Trump Ripped After Forcing National Parks To Drop Free Entry On MLK Day And Juneteenth For Infuriating Reason

President Donald Trump was criticized after the National Park Service announced it will be dropping Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth for next year's calendar of free-entry days and adding Trump's birthday, which happens to fall on Flag Day, on June 14.

Last month, the Department of the Interior unveiled changes to what it now calls its “resident-only patriotic fee-free days,” expanding the calendar to include new dates like the Fourth of July weekend and President Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday, while dropping others that had honored the department itself, including the Bureau of Land Management’s anniversary.
